Oh God, yes. I completely forgot he made that comparison once. But did you see how convincing he was? He even made pictures comparing them and everything. A shame he never tried comparing them in game. (headbang)

If the Guardian got the Katana hitbox, I'd be happy. It would certainly prove or disprove Mjolnir's particular assertion that the Guardian is the same as the Katana.
Right now, mines are the equivalent of grenade spam except they are 2 orders of magnitude worse. With grenades you get players who are like I'm gonna throw these things so I don't have to shoot the enemy. Except its worse in FL because we have 70 grenades, so it's not just throw a couple and look for hit indicator, it's just brainless spam spam spam spam as substitute for having to aim and shoot the enemy.
Maybe if ships were limited to say 3 mines, then they would have value and would be used sparingly for tactical purposes. Right now it's just too easy to spam spam with them, they add nothing of tactical value, and are just annoying
3 for fighters, 12 for bombers, that would be good

you know, if someone spam mines, just CD him and he'll die...

not necessarily, you have to CD his ship while the mines are in CD range of his ship but not in range of your ship, and that assumes the CD doesn't hit something else on the way there

if the mines are not close to him, most likely he is not mine spamming.
Anyway, best tactic on mine spammers is to dodge and shoot a CD each few jousts/slides. The spammer will lose his mines in about 5 minutes, then he is stuck against you with a nice full load of mines.
