Ronin sama... where can one find the legions of the Rightful Empire? I'm sure there are more than some respectable farmers out there who had enough from the traitors and collaborators that infected our beloved spaces. Kusari needs all the help it's people are willing to offer in such disastrous times.
To be honest, they could probably still shoot you/us (depending on whether I am one of you guys or not, dunno how that is) if you/we refused an RP treaty (just going to say you now). I would only be particularly concerned about it if they had the manpower to swamp you, which a decision you're much better placed to make than I. The restrictions you mentioned only matter as much as their power to enforce them, and your will to follow them, right?

That's kinda the point. In disco, these kinds of treaties are only there to give justification to shooting someone you really shouldn't be shooting. My hunch is it will be used as a way to try to get away from the roles we are given by the storyline, not reenforce it. We don't need to put hurdles in front of the storyline rp to make it harder for people to stick to it.

To be honest, a treaty would an extension of common sense. InRP, we all still hate your guts. Your RP is to try and alleviate some of that tension to allow your survival.
You offend us? We shoot you.
Catch you consorting with Gaians? We shoot you.
Outlive your uses? We shoot you.
In the words of Rorry Breaker from Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, you're going to have to work very hard just to stay alive. BAF NPC rumours state that they'd very much like to shoot you already. If you give us a reason to do so ingame, it will happen.
More than anything, a treaty would limit when and how Bretonia can shoot you. It goes from "if you offend us" to "if you break a clause". That actually improves your chances, if anything.

Go ahead, shoot us for any little reason you want, instead of playing the role you are supposed to play. We are going to play the role we are supposed to play whether you like it or not. The Queen ordered a Cease-Fire and Alliance, does Bretonia no longer follow the orders of the Queen?
It seems like people are looking for any reason to get away from this storyline, and forcing a treaty on us would just be another tool to do it.

So, writing up a treaty that the lore specifically says exists is a tool to force you away from the storyline?

Yes, because it will be used to force the Exiles into restrictive circumstances not envisioned by the storyline, and then when those are not followed it will be used to break the storyline treaty.

The Queen required the Exiles to sign a treaty to do that.
The lore says you sign a treaty.
Right now you're refusing to sign a treaty.
So you're not even official yet and already refusing to follow your lore.
Also if I read the news correctly, Kogen drew up terms of peace and presented them to the Queen and she agreed, so if we really want to follow the lore the way you want, I should put together the treaty and you are forced to sign it, right?
