Allowing Official Faction leaders to FR5 people themselves.

Come on, if you give all faction leaders this ability, some will just be dicks about it. Everybody knows that. The only people saying "yes" are the people who are okay with that.

While it would be nice and would help ease Admin workload this would never work. Faction leaders can't be trusted with such a tool.

While I like the *idea* of having that ability as a faction leader, Justin is right. Some faction leaders would simply abuse the authority and counter FR5 claims would make things so much worse on the administration team.

To help process FR5 requests from the factions, I'd support adding more people to the admin team over the ability of factions to do the FR5 themselves.


I would, however, also like to see player RPd stations such as Freeports, be able to request FR5's directly the same as factions, but again as a request not the power to do so themselves.

I already despise all the Faction Rights wholeheartedly despite me being a faction leader for nearly 3 yrs. Completely unnecessary writings. Creates a false sense of entitlement. I've put the faction rights to application before they were even written as have many leaders in those times before they were created. They haven't actually given us anything more then what was already being done. Instead what was given to us was the side effect that comes from false senses of entitlement. An insane amount of stressful arguing in which people truly are at home sitting in front of a computer honestly being angry over something they don't even own. A game, pixels, pewpew....sigh. Well naturally I'd vote against this because there isn't any of us faction leaders who can maintain sensibilities consistantly enough to make this work right. We all get bad days, some seem to have a bad day everyday.

What about this: assign each admin to 2-3 factions so FR5 requests can be processed faster, via PM's or even Skype. That way if someone messed up a faction leader can contact it's assigned admin and send him the evidence instead of waiting for a FR5 report to be processed (which can take a lot of time). The respective evidence would be stored somewhere in the admin section of the forum so it can be verified by the other admins in order to prevent abuse. FR5's do not represent sanctions anyway so they could should be easier to put in place by the official factions.

Example: a mercenary shoots my corsair over and over again and one day I see him dock on Cadiz while I am flying my Zoner ship. I can't use screes taken from a Zoner whale to ask for a FR5 for obvious reasons. I also can't request for a FR5 on every merc that shoots me since that would be simply dumb and I'm sure the admin team has better things to do, so I'll just PM my favorite admin with the screens of said merc shooting me and then docking on Cadiz or simply with sair NPC's not shooting him and I get a FR5 in 5 to 10 minutes.

Edit: before screaming I need in-game RP and stuff like that the simple fact that a merc is shooting me represents all the RP I need and I'm tired of mercs walking around the Omegas like they own the place and CD'ing a corsair NPC when they see a hostile only to dock on our bases the next day
