lolwut
I killed an idiot in a battleship in a rifter frigate... it wasn't even setup with T2 gear and it was back when I was still pretty much a noob myself.....to add insult to injury... the guy came back to try again and suffered the same fate.
Battleships only defense against a frigate are drones. take the drones out and your golden. T1 frigates don't have the power capable to take out a decent battleship pilot, but a Assualt frigate sure can, several can take out a fleet of em.
Back in my golden years the corp I was in flew a t1 cruiser squadron of about 15 ships into an engagement with atleast 30 battleships, we naturally didn't win but we killed 20 of the battleships that were far superior in numbers AND weapons.
1. yes that's why I wrote that I got over it....because I understand those fellows on Iceland need money to run the server

..............EvE allows a 4 month player the ability to beat a 4 year one, the only uperhand the 4 year player has is the same in every mmo. Experience, versatility(and sometimes a wallet, I however am very broke:()
2. 4 month... hmmm in Disco it takes about week to get to level where you can beat anything....
3. You just said that the fights are even more real.... which is nice... in a way...... but not so nice in a way too... as I said real hatred and the like
----------
To sum up my reasons:
I don't have enough time/will to explore all the extremely big universe/game and get to decent level...:(
In disco it's really fast to get to decent level and then you can invest as much time as you want to other things than getting a better ship/skill....RPing, running a faction, working for a faction.... you name it.

' Wrote:Hey Dab, How long did it take for you to get to that position in EVE?
scruffy
It took me 8 months to get to that point. I also started up a corp twice, but the first time we got hit by the fact that my second in command took off with 85% of our assets, and in the 2nd, I just didn't have enough time to command..
Well decided to try out EVE myself too. Yesterday i have installed it, and playd a few hours. I'm still at the tutorial, and i'm stuck at the "get to some i dont remember on the name station". I have flyd into 5-6 systems, but they are soooo big, like OMG. It would be fun to play with it, a huge universe, nice grafik, a lot of people etc, the only negative point, that i need to pay every month... so i will stay with freelancer:D
I continued to play a little with this game, but something annoys me... i logg in, and after 10-15 mins of playtime, i get a "blue death" and my pc shuts down
I have no problem with other games, only with this one... what can be the problem?

Are you using the classic or upgraded graphic version?
If your using the premium, or whatever its called, version, then degrade to classic graphics version.
