Agreed.
Organization, discipline and with numbers, ability to do many events and such. Also, Liberty needs to be closed foor month so people spread.

Especially Kusari.

Kusari is very dead... and has been for quite a while.

If some ore selling point was plopped there ( I thought one was in 4.85? still didnt help?)

or some profitable trade route was made there that could seriously help..

Kusari has platinum in it now, as well as Helium-3. It will simply take a little time for players to get used to the new features. As word spreads, the traders will come - everything flows from there.

For god's sake, pleae no factionlancer. Not all indies are bad and not all faction members are good. However, elitism is very prevalent in this community and the faction <-> indy "conflict" plays a major role in this. For starters, events from official faction often exclude all indies, without giving them any chance to show, they are sensible people too. Why not let indies participate in events? Just have them write an application beforehand, so you can sort out the real idiots, that cannot even speak or write english.

Have you been to LNS vs RM event?
The moment LNS and RNC show up...CHARGEEEEEEEEE....5 minutes later they blame LN cuz they died.

Indies may be sensible, but factions make more sense.

Y'know, this thread would have made a lot of sense in .85 - the trade system was a bit eh then. Tell you what, fire up a copy of FLCompanion and compare the current trade profits from then to now. Trade is better now than ever before, with most routes currently being better than the previous exploit, the diamond/niobium run. Currently, our average to poor routes are better than the last mod's best.

That's one of the many reasons I'm more than happy with the current economy. Consider this a trade faction leader's approval. Also, system chat as default is a mistake. If anyone has any valid RP they specifically want to contribute to system, they can still type /s. If you set it to standard, all you get is contextless chatter that'll be aimed at people within scanner range anyway.

Those weeks on my Sails where we gathered in mass to fight Zoners, Order, OC was soooooooooo much fun. I've never had that much fun EVER.

And yes Disco needs things like that.

Problem is, that most traders are trading for the profit and not for the fun.

That's why you'll rarely see some good trader RP.
And that's why I only trade in factions, so you'll never have to trade alone.

I miss the organized CR and RM for example. Long gone.

While indies work for themselves, but then its 150 spread players without interaction, usually out to pew or get cash.

I trade sometimes for coin, sometimes in bigger group, sometimes to help out. It always depends.

I read the headline and saw everybody saying that we need more traders.... well i think we have traders....

I think much more about whats the difference between Police and Navy? Isnt it that Police is looking that inside the borders everybody stays clean? and Navy is more the military operation side.... The war should be its buissnes.... At the moment there isnt much a difference.... But what difference should there be?

I dont think that Traders is what we need more! I think we need much more Smugglers[color=#33CC00], Because then the Police would have more of its roleplay chances... and then the Navy can stay on the enemys and can be called in for help on LR or things like that, but then the Police can have its main opperation side...: Smugglers and Pirates and Crime, and the Navy can support on demand! But at the moment there is too much Navy/police/LSF (in other colonies other navys/police) but too less Smugglers....

But to get smugglers they need some more profitable things to trade... Why not a Cardamine Ore? At the moment I do 60Millions+ with one trade run but i do 7 Millions with a Smugglers run...! But the Smuggling is much much much more risk and should be more Profitable! Thats what i think we need the most.... Better chances for Smugglers!
