Or maybe they FOCUSED their research on Weapons, ships, etc than life-styles and stuff?
And got a load of scientists?

Gallia considered itself for war so long.... It gained tech from junkers and improved its tech to be way more powerful than that. All it wanted ever was to conquer Sirus and complete its revenge. ALL IT EVER WANTED!!!! Its not like other houses fighting for some other reason like Nomad research.... or conquering a single house... It wanted to conquer all four houses and have their revenge on them..... Thats all they ever wanted.... their goal their aim their ambition whatever you call it. They worked only for that to happen. Improving its armada of ships
Improving its techs
and what not?
Its their only goal. THey have put their full resources towards it. By their population , Their full limit is something really greater than 5 times each house put towards its war resources...

also a funny point is that NEVER EVER a single of this maaaaany junkers lost a work about gallia.

if many people know about stuff, it will come public quite fast.

disco seems to focus on gallia too much in my opinion.

I want to play Freelancer not Frenchlancer

Anonymous USer you consider gallia was just building its tech to pewpew. But it gained techs from SIRUS from JUNKERS. So it knew the wep capacities of Sirus very well and prepared for it... Its simple...

Why do I not like Gallia?
First of all, I like Gallia. I like Gallia if I disregard Freelancer, Discovery and the server.
I stop liking it, once I start looking at what it means for Discovery.

Gallia means even more systems, nice systems, I must say, but still very big systems. Having it active
would mean the small player base we have being even spread more thinly. The shiplines I like, the
transports are just awesome, the bases look big and, even if they are a bit clustered and weird on some
parts (what are those rings good for!?), give a feeling of there really being a lot of people on them, not like
the "We got a docking port and nothing else"-vanilla bases.
What I dislike though: It's just too much. The idea of a big house is too, a big house in the Taus is not
needed and too much, the systems have too many planets, the space is too big, the house is supposed to
have too many ships, too much influence, too many systems, too many bases, etc. pp.
It could make it's own mod. Really. Cut out Gallia, put it in it's own mod - done. Got a nice new mod there.
Would have everything it needs. Could even make a story for it, that the French flew their own ship
somewhere else than Sirius.

And this brings me to the other big issue.
The Story.
Bretonia was the second to last arriving in Sirius. The last one being Hispania if I'm not mistaken. At least in
vanilla story - not taking into account the Colonials and Gallia. Bretonia suffered from being so late because
they had to pick THE WORST SPOT in Sirius, having almost no planets to settle, having few (easy
accessable) ressources etc. Now, Gallia comes in EVEN LATER and finds a spot where they can build a fleet
from, which dwarfs all that has ever been seen in Sirius? And they have way more planets settled than any
other house. Something just doesn't add up there.
I wouldn't even go into the fact, that the story is weird anyway, as the Kusari - Bretonia war couldn't have
been working the way it did, as Kusari lost their whole fleet in the nomad war (due to both Rheinland AND
Liberty invading Kusari). But that's not the topic here. Now Gallia comes in and is supposed to fight win in a
second against Kusari, but not crush Bretonia as fast as well, even though Bretonia already couldn't stand
against Kusari? (...may I point out, that Bretonia was the only house not directly involved in the Nomad
war? ... sorry, other topic again.)

What I'm saying is this:
I like the ships.
I like how some of the systems look.
I find it unfitting, unnecessary and just way too much.
I think it doesn't make sense.

And most of all:
I wish all the work that was spend on making Gallia was put into Sirius.
This is, what bugs me the most.

Well I have a junker character and I can testify that their wartech is substandard:-) Barragers... Pffft...

And again, just because I want something doesn't mean I get it. It is not so much the reason why they are at war that is of importance, but instead the very nature of war that drives progress in the wartech department - simply because it is a "do or die" situation, where all your resources are invested into developing weapons.

In a society not in war you'd have a hard time convincing the population to make the same sacrifices as the populations in nations on the verge of destruction does. Its simply human nature. We only give ourselves fully when there are no other options.

But I don't think this discussion about why Gallia-tech should be OP is fruitful. As I see it it doesn't really make sense, but I dont care because it serves as an instrument to attract players, which is needed as players dont have the same connection to this new sector as they do to their Vanilla-ish Sirius.

still very unrealistic that with that many junkers which had to supply gallia (just look at all the TLs and Gates etc) nobody ever lost a word about it.

Well as i said you are too ignorant to appreciate the things... Its just because you cant stand it OPed with reasons.

And one more Gallia is way more balanced than other Houses.. Its got too much enemies so even by Oping it they have balanced it...

Dont consider Gallia separate from Freelancer. Its a part of this mod and should be treated as one.

No.

Gallia could never have become as powerfulll getting their "tech" from junkers.

They must have got their tech from aliens just like Liberty did.

Only way to explain lanes and gates.

And focussing on taking revenge building up armies with no other purpose to conquer an enemy they "figure out should probably exist like that at this moment".

Sorry but thats not normal human behavior.

Gallia is strongly affected by aliens. DKV or Nomads or other.

Either that or the RP reasoning behind it is just crap.
