That would be pro. I wonder if it'd be possible to expand the explosion range just for shield damage.
Imo the old massive effects were epic. It made everything feel.. just.. a lot cooler and more intense. I remember when two opposing forces would get in range of each other, and dozens of mortars were shot and you'd see the quote, "fugly" projectiles fly across and then all of a sudden BOOM. Your screen was lit up and you knew **** was going down. :yahoo:
This is another case of changing things just for the sake of changing things.
You can't really talk about realism in freelancer, because you have no idea what is realistic for them, even if you may think you do.
Unless you can prove me wrong with a space battleship with anti matter weapons sitting above Earth that you own.
