On the BattleCruiser I going to put 4 forward gun and about 16 turrets, 4 on the wings, 2 on each wing top button, 4 on the body 2 on top and 2 more on buttom. and 8 on the head part, I did not have any plans to put Torpidos on it but I might make it were u can fit it on the forward guns. I am not going to put the Yamato Cannon on the ship for that would mean I'm copy Starcart ship, I'm only baseing it off that ship. Copy Right thing, I do not wish to miss with it. Plus I do not think Igiss want my ship, if he does great but I realy do not think he would.
Plus I do not know if I say this befor but I love this mod and it great, prob one of the better ones I seen in a long time. I alway wanted a mod where I could used any ship at all. When I talk about adding new ships and wep I mean way down the road after all bugs seem to be fixed.
All right. Sorry if I insulted you, it's just that I have met some people who think models and things just fall out of a modder's ass. It's annoying to hear them whine about not having a new thing every day, and even more annoying to hear them complain about how the mods not done yet, or how it's not going as fast as it should, ect.
It sounds like a cool ship and all, it's just not my taste. At least you know what your talking about though.

Nah. This is just updating the mod files. Your character files shouldn't be changed at all (unless you ask Igiss, politely, and with a good reason of course). :D
I know about updates, and this should be no different.

No need to get all mad and crap, I know how moding work crap takes forever to do, I never say anything about I want to tommrow, fixed all and done, I never ask u for anything, I do not feel like being scream at by you for just saying how I like this mod and I think it one of the best out there, adding wep and new ship was somthing that sgould only be added way way down the road, I never demaned them NOW. And for me to say I like a ship, and going to make a mod , does not mean u must put it on this mod, I been nothing but nice to you all and I get nothing but your rag back.
Stop the flood guys. Maybe my modding skills are not as advanced as they should be, but I just cannot dedicate months of my life to Freelancer mods. Discovery was created to enhance the game in the way I saw it fit, nothing more. Why I'm telling you all this? Discovery won't ever become a large and complicated mod like Evolutions or TNG, though if I will find experienced modders ready to help there will be new features, new systems and ships. If I won't find (which is most likely), I'll continue mod development myself, updating from time to time, with limited new features - new commodities, maybe new ships. And - no idea on how to create models, so I'll have to use models created by someone else. But only if they are high-quality.
About Starcraft, Star Wars, Warcraft ships or any other spacecrafts seen in games or movies - no there will be none.
About exchanging credits between characters on same account - this is impossible, as I clearly said before. Don't you want me to include a full-scale RTS planetside battles into Discovery? "Hey guy, you could rip all units off C&C Generals!" :lol:
Now back to the topic... yes ships will drop pilots, the system will be even more complicated than in Evolutions. Special pilot types for several factions. And custom selling prices on different bases and in different regions. Pilots will take up 4 cargo space each.
Why, oh why, are you reducing profits for us traders? Unless someone gives you a boost of 1+ mill credits when you start a new character, it takes forever to earn enough money to buy a Train, let alone a capital ship. I constantly hear players asking when I will buy a battleship and start fighting them. And I always reply: when Ive got enough money.
So please, leave the trade alone
Fixing capital ship weapons is a good idea. It wasnt possible to make them impossible to un-mount, was it?
But I would ask that you boost shield strength for the large freighters (Transporters and Trains) at the same time. At it is now, the 40K shield on a Large Train is a wee bit to weak in my opinion. 40K can disappear very quickly when under attack.
Also, what are you going to do about those of us who has already upgraded our Large Trains? Currently, my ship is equipped with the shield and weaponry from a cruiser. Will it simply disappear, or will you manually edit all freighters to revert to the old equipment?

Where did you get the idea Igiss was cutting trader's profits? Igiss is ADDING more items, not taking any away. I'll agree that it's hard when you start out, but it's supposed to be hard! You're a new pilot, fresh off of Manhatten. What do you expect? I got by with a Rhino, then a Humpback, then a Repair Ship, then an Armored Transport, then a Mining Ship, and finaly a Large Train. Work your way to it man. Don't bitch about how it's hard to trade. It's supposed to be hard to work your way up. I know, because I did.
On a side note; I didn't yell at you Hitman. I was just telling you what I thought and what my experiences were. If you're offended, i'm sorry. I didn't mean to insult you.

I will cut off one very lucrative route that appeared because I opened (almost) all single player jumpgates.
And I agree with Kane, it's a game, in many MMORPGs it takes months to gain high levels. Earning money should be difficult. If you wish to get millions after 1 day of playing, this mod (and this server) isn't for you.

I will slightly increase power of those. But only slightly.

Weapons will be OK, but everyone will have to unmount cruiser and battleship shields from transports and get a normal freighter shield. If they won't, I'll edit manually. Not only to prevent people from using advanced shields in the new version, but to prevent server crashes.
