That would be incredibly epic and would definitely put more emphasis on pushing towards Sigmas and Kusari. Maybe... make that base the only one with an Outcast bribe? (I'm joking of course)
Anywho thanks for all the work being done and remember to massage your brain after dealing with people's rage.:P
' Wrote:- Dresden: Leipzig falls to the Hessians, and the lanes to Pirna and Bautzen get destroyed. The system becomes a warzone as the Hessians mount significant pressure - Rheinland not committing much except protecting Bautzen. The system is practically mined out and therefor not of much economic value anymore.
& Pirna stands? or does it get blown up as well?
' Wrote:- Hamburg/Hudson/Bering/Texax: Gates to Hudson and Bering get blown on the far side, deactivating the companion gates. Hudson and Bering are effectively ceded to Liberty. Liberty only shows interest in Atka. Jumpholes form between Bering and Texas, and Hudson/Hamburg making for more smuggling routes. The blown gates in the independent worlds get some nice small scrapfields for the junkers to play in. Watch for those Xenos though... Alma sets up shop near Cold Bay, in preparation for a restart of the terraforming effort in Hudson.
- Minnesota/New Hamphire/Quebec/Bremen: Quebec is cut from the route, with Minnesota connecting directly to New Hampshire. Concord hoofs it over to Alberta, Rheinland moves the Westphalia into up into New Hampshire. A tug of war ensues between Liberty and Rheinland over a module of the Munster research station that Liberty made off with. Not entirely sure what needs to be done with/to Bremen yet, but something'll be figured out. Maybe mining. With Omega 15 deleted, there's room for something.
With the new developments in the LN-RM war : i forsee a good amount of old skool navel warfare ( in the aspect of who can spot the others fleet first [ WITHOUT meta-gamming ] )

Although I do wonder how you'd plan on doing capital ship warfare in the sigmas. You can't see the enemy at those distances.
 Funny thing is that i've got ships covering all the above areas. guess i won't have a shortage of downtime...

Just a short notice folks: What I'm posting are brief summaries of the changes to some of the system files I'm working on. It's not the storyline - that's Friday's domain.
Few answers: Pirna gets blown up, it's base entry is recycled into a new Bundy base in the system.

Since when was that a problem? It should be very easy just to copy the data over for the next mod version.
' Wrote:Sy: Nice and pessimistic, true to form. Rheinland will be getting some perks as well. I'm right now handling the sigma border and lower omegas. Work in progress.
Well, you know me.
But I guess you also know what I had proposed for Rheinland. Which actually looked worse than what is going to be done - but it was different. A "Texas-incident"-like incident in Munich? 'Why?' and 'How?' There's no hypergate-like experiment going on there. I can see that the system should become more interested, I just think this way makes no sense in regards to story.
The Unioner-Corsairs stuff - that's great.
The Hessians finally advancing, pretty much going the right direction.
Quebec being removed: "FINALLY!". (Not sure if it'll give the systems around there more activity though, since it's still a long way from "New York to New Berlin", but a step in the right direction.)
What bugs me though, is the Bering + Hudson thing...
' Wrote:No new caps for the BHG, existing hardware is fine, except for the Orca.
My preference is resize this model for orca. It can be used with a forward gun np and also has the feel of the core cap line. Then take this model and use it for bottlenose so it has a little more continuity with the cap line.

I am afraid, but simply resizing model won`t be that good idea.
Besides current orca is great!
Even if it has a bit different design it is still a well-done (in terms of quality) model. Besides it is not that important to copy pase main design idea for all shipline. Just look at the Liberator or LSC.
