If you read the ship's infocard carefully, you will note that nowhere does it state that the ship was manufactured by Interspace Commerce.

The Democritus was designed by the same man who founded Orbital Spa and Cruise. He took the designs to DSE to produce. Not IC.

Multiple wiki editors who have been editing the wiki since long before the change was made have told you it's a mistake.
The Admins or devs have never said anything about it suddenly being IC made, despite the ship being around for years.
