Alexis had retreated when Hale arrived; she didn't know how to act with him there. So, she retreated towards Cat, sitting beside her eith a smile. She looked puzzled by Mehndi's outfit, grinned at the talk of fighting and glanced to Clark...and slid her arm over to nudge Cat.
"Can we at least dance?" She asked, smiling softly at Cat. "Please?"
David stood for a while at the bar, noticing Alexis moving away a little. He nodded a greeting to Dimitrova, who looked decidedly uncomfortable as well.
'Hmm, that's exactly why I considered not coming' he thought to himself.
It was at the moment he spotted a flash of purple over in the corner through the crowd. A shade of purple he recognised... He raised an eyebrow, surprised. 'Can't be...'
He weaved his way through the crowd and over to the table in the corner.
"Two glasses of wine please." said the purple haired girl at the counter.
The girl took the glasses and made her way through the crowd to a table in a corner of the room. She slowly put the glasses on the table, although with enough strength to leave a small noise, attracting the attention of the concerned woman.
"Hello again Kate.""You're not going to socialize if you stay alone in your corner.""I do find it to my liking. For instance, do you see this one woman with the dress?" she said, looking at Dimitrova. "Yeah, I do. What's the problem with her?""She's not a problem. She's a perfect representation of human morality. She's been acting with a small discomfort since her arrival, which means she is likely wondering why she came here. Humans often impose codes over themselves. The question is, is it for themselves, or for how they stand out in the other participants esteem?"
Kate sighed.
"You think too much.""How am I supposed to learn, if I don't think?""You free yourself of every constraints that are usually imposed on you, that's how. No ranks, no question of money, no question of gender, no question of birthplace. It's all about fun. The race doesn't matter here, you're just like one of us Aurora. So just, have, fun.".
On these words, Kate raised her glass, inviting Aurora to do the same.
David saw a second purple-haired head infront of him as he walked over to the table. 'And that's even more surprising...'
He stopped a distance away, seeing the two of them talking, then moved closer, announcing his presence by placing his half-full glass down on the table.
"Well this is a surprise" he glanced at Kate and grinned. "How's the whole being alive thing going?"
'Did she just call the Fleet Admiral an old man? Wow...' Natalie thought to herself while she was being pulled by Greenson. 'That music is awful...' She smiled for a moment.
"Jasmine, I'm not really in the mood for dancing. That's not funny." Natalie said, but she was not sure if she was loud enough. 'Why can't I just stay at the bar. That's not fair...'
"Iron Heart eh??", he shrugged and nods to acknowledge Teerin's greeting... not caring to entertain Clark's teasing. It was a time for relaxation. "I brought something better.", Remus grinned, pulling out a classic Gallic champagne. He motions for the bartender "3 glasses please.", and in a swift motion, the bartender scoops 3 glasses from under the table and hands them towards Remus and Co.
He immediately pours the Gallic champagne into the 3 glasses, "A toast, gents! To a successful surgery and to life!" He raises his glass in celebration. Suddenly the music starts, *Hmm... Mehndi's got taste....*, the quick disappearance of several peers at the bar alarmed Remus. A short glance towards the area vacated by the other navy officers told him the answer. *Huh... even the Admiral's here...* His eyes followed the Fleet Admiral as he avoided the mass of people headed for the dance floor towards the corner where the two purpled-hair women were situated.
He nudged Clark, "Hey Clark, FA's here.", tilting his head towards the previously mentioned area.
"Huh, so he is." Clark said looking at the Gallic Champagne "Never seen the purple haired chicks before. You know anything?"
Clark took at sip and almost immediately tried to as politely as possible spit it back "You call this booze? think I'm going to stick with my scotch." Clark said putting the glass of Champagne down and picking up his Scotch and downing it to wash out the taste of the Champagne.
Catherine arched a brow at the music, finishing her cup of coffee as she does, putting it away. She then notices Alexis talking to her. She turns her head towards Alexis and glares somewhat.
"Dance? Are you crazy? I can't dance. Do you want me to embarrass myself ?"
She sighed heavily, and turned her bar-stool so she was facing Alexis, leaning back on the counter
"I would need to drink atleast three glasses of scotch in order to get on that dancefloor..."
"So, at the risk of sounding like an overly enquiring idiot... What brought you two down here? There's uh... Potential difficulty with it, and perhaps "Hale-named" isn't the best thing to be calling be. David will do, in situations like this. Keep it informal, when it's an informal occasion... And less uh... Y'know."
He sat down at the table and took a sip of his drink, looking around to see how many people have noticed the two visually unusual people.

Greenson pretended not to notice Natalie's protests as she led her towards the dancefloor.
