Thats what I'm trying to do: Trying to bring Bretonian RP back to life.
That may not be what the SF was in the past, but that's what it came close to during my time here. The SF was the major, commanding Bretonian faction, it died. One way or another, the SF would not exist today, either the admins would have axed it, or I could absorb it into what was then the QCO, and is now the QCRF.
Now, I admit, the QCO was not exactly a healthy faction, the same as Bretonia was rather empty. Bretonia is still empty, but I am trying my damned hardest to fix Bretonia, and bring it into the sort of Strong, Solid RP, that I expect from such an RP server as discovery.
You aren't helping. I gave you Commodore status, because it seems you have seniority over Stratus, which, I might add, is the same rank as any of my characters. I'm offering you a vote in the admiralty board, which means a voice in the future of the faction. All this is a gesture of my goodwill, for a faction in general, and you in particular, and you have spit on it.
Please don't make me regret my decision. I have tried to be even handed an magnanimous, but at the end of the day, I do have final say over any Bretonian faction, and that is essentially what Hype gave me when he gave me Salisbury.
Ok I will admit that some of what you said is true, the SF was very low on members but I have not seen any QCO/QCP for about a month so I don't think you where doing any better to be honest.
Also I do not like your rather threatening way of saying you gave me Commodore and then more or less saying if I don't agree with you that I will get that rank removed and that is black mail which I would rather not see from a faction leader. To be honest I don't think I will be keeping this rank and I am most likely to leave the SF or what ever you are calling it now as I don't like the way things seem to be going.
On an after thought if you want to continue this talk I think we should take it to PM's as this is turning into a bit to much flaming.

Ok now to go the opposite way and be SF centric, I personaly think that the SF tag should be kept in some way as there is an extreamly large amount of history behind it (once asked Lancer about it and took him over an hour to explain) aswell as being one of the oldest factions here.
Though that is probaly only my opinion and no one else will agree but I am just attached as I joined the SF on my first day here and have always been a part of it for my 2 years of playing discovery.
Also as to not using the second part of the name (the one for ship class), yes it is true it puts us at a disadvantage when people use it so they can bring ships that work well against ours but I do like using them as it can also work the other way where people bring ships to make the fight a good balance rather than bringing a battleship to take on 2 fighters. (though we seem to lack people who like fair fights these days)
As to making everyone have a Hussar and a Templar I do agree that everyone should have a Hussar or a Templar but I feel it is rather unfair to make people have both as to be honest if I had a Hussar it would only get used to make sure it does not get removed in a player wipe as it is a really sad light fighter (but I wont go down that road in this thread)

I agree whole heartedly with Kiggles..just wanted to say that..as this is the only thing in this thread that has made any sense..seems like the SF is saying what they want but are being told what they are gonna do...no offense to anyone here but this is ridiculous.

Thank you Dieter of all the people I still know on the server your the only one to show a shred of respect to me. I appreciate all you have done for me. I wish my damn mobo wouldn't have shorted maybe the SF would be a bit different..I just don't see how its justified that Hyperwave wouldn't atleast offer the command to fellow SF before another..but none of that matters now I know..you can't focus on the past but you can mourn for an old friend.

Pretty much. Neither Me or Kiggles had the spare time to command, so other alternatives were taken. I think it was a good decision, sure things have changed but hey, name change and restructuring might just well be what the SF needs to get back on its feet, under a new name of course.
