Subject: Mysterious Discovery within Grande Negre Cloud
Greetings,
My name is Sandra Rivers and I was recently assigned to battleship Mississippi in the texas system, after graduating from navy flight school. The captain of the mississippi assigned me on patrol duty for today and while on patrol I met a trading vessel which I offered escort.
During this escort the ship flew off course and directly into the hazardorous grande negre cloud, where sadly my systems were damaged and the flight log and gun cam images were destroyed.
However, I always have a pencil and some paper with me for cases such as this, so here are the notes I took.
The craft in question:
Callsign: Chrysokoll
Type: Mastodon Liberty Transport
IFF: -none-
ID: Independant Miners Guild
Cargo: 5000 units of water
Shield: Class 6 freighter shield (29.000 capacity)
Heavy Thruster
Araments: -none-
The transport's destination as I inquired when starting to escort it, was a "Luckenbach" base, which I was unfamiliar with. As the ship steered right into the grande negre cloud, it stopped responding and I started to get wary as I considered the possibility of an ambush.
Fortunately no such thing happened and the transport arrived at this Luckenbach base. The base looked like a full grown station of recent build and initial scans showed no weapons platforms.
As my craft was taking damage and the trader simply sat before the base not responding, I set a course out of the cloud and headed back to battleship Mississippi where I ran into miss Jane Hartman.
She was currently doing maintainance work with a mastodon transport herself when I informed her of what I just witnessed. Intrigued by the report about the base, she went to land and launched with a smaller craft again so we could take a look together.
Under her guidance (and with my guncam repaired) we flew into the grande negre cloud again and found the Luckenbach base again. Miss Hartman scanned and examined if the base would accept our docking codes while I remained on standby and alert.
As it seems the base accepts navy docking codes but miss hartman said that it belongs to the junkers and still seemed to not have been registered.
We then plotted a course back to battleship Mississippi where she told me she would relay word to the navy command and keep me informed. Then she landed on planet hampton and I on battleship mississippi.
That concludes my report, if any further questions arise, I am at your diposal at battleship mississippi. Please feel free to also contact Miss Jane Hartman for additional inormation. Seeing she is an experienced officer, her report may be more reliable than my own.
Sincerely,
Sandra Rivers
Addendum:
I was able to find the transport again waiting in the north dallas debries field. When hailed it did not respond but I was able to gather gun cam images now which I am uploading and adding to this transmission.
After I returned to battleship Mississippi, I received a transmission from the transport where he apologised for not being available earlier. I was able to ask him about the base that was discovered and received some rudimentary information which I am also uploading for your evaluation and consideration.

A brief addendum to Recruit Rivers' report.
I've had a further look through the archives and can confirm that Luckenbach Base is, in fact, a legal facility.
The installation's registration and payment details are available here. With that in mind, I do not feel it necessary to take any further action regarding the station.
However; it is my view that the lack of a centralized database does make it difficult for officers in the field to access information on unknown stations quickly. Thus, with Command's permission, I would like to request clearance to compile a list of registered bases in Liberty Space for access by field personnel. Each base entry would contain the following information:
Code:
[b]Base Name:[/b]
[b]Administrator:[/b]
[b]Affiliation:[/b]
[b]System of Operation:[/b]*
[b]Purpose:[/b]
[b]Link to registration.[/b]
*A list of precise locations would be compiled and stored in a secure location for access by Mid Command should it be required.

As I launched on patrol today from battleship mississippi, I had the signal of the transport supplying Luckenbach base on scanners again. As I had read the recent reply of Lt. Cmdr. Hartman, I felt there was an opportunity to bring the message to the transport personally, since I had spoken with him in the first place.
As such I did take the liberty to send a brief message informing him that the base registration was confirmed and that there was no problem at all. I also apologised for any inconvenience we may have caused and wished him a good day.
The rest of my patrol was uneventful and I only encountered three rookie pilots from the Liberty Rogues who tried to attack me in the north dallas debris field. I dealt with them swiftly and brought their escape pods back to battleship Mississipi where I landed.

Greetings, sirs.
I realize it's been some time since I made a report on anything, but with comm issues and a variety of other tasks to attend to I simply haven't had time before now. I'll be sure to be more on top of this from now on. In the mean time, here are some items of recent note I should bring to your attention.
Subject:Jenny.Fairwell
It's been some time since I've seen someone try to run the risk of Alaska and Zone 21 to haul freight. Unfortunately for Miss Fairwell, we caught her doing such right as she popped out into the Zone 21 minefield. I ordered her to her lifepods and we summarily destroyed her vessel. I'm sure she'll be less likely to do such in the future after having a nice talk with the friendly LSF folk.
I was flying with a secondary fleet member by the callsign of Carnage near Norfolk Station when we caugh this gentlemen hauling Helium. This wouldn't have been suspicious, except he had ALG papers and claimed to be taking it to Houston. Remembering my price indexes, and taking into account his name and papers, I found this sucpicious. I requested a sample to confirm his intents, but he never responded. He eventually made his way under fire to the Missouri, where I'm hoping he's still in custody. I believe he was intending to take this to Rheinland, where Helium fetches a high price.
While still flying with the aforementioned Carnage, Miss Drum came across our scopes from the direction of the Texas Gate. Oddly enough in a Rheinland Wraith class fighter. I halted her immediately and made her aware of Section 3 Subheading II of the Laws of Liberty with respect to small craft. I presented the two simple options, and then told her the consequences of not complying. She promptly fled, with myself and Carnage in pursuit. After threatening us to back off, and then taking out my wingman, she explained that we seemed to have a miscommunication, and that she was attempting to leave Liberty. Given the timing of her response and her flight it didn't seem to bode well for her claim, but I gave her the opportunity to make restitution with a fine of five million credits for the violation of the law and the destruction of the other navy vessel. She babbled some nonsense about being the hand of "order" and refused to obey my lawful order. She resumed her flight and I pursued and engaged, though I lost eventually. I can provide fuller comms if necessary, but I believe we have sufficient evidence to declare Felicia Drumpersona non grata here in Liberty.
Going off of a tip a Bounty Hunter put in, I can confirm that there is an illegal modular facility located in the E7 sector of Cortez. I have taken the liberty of posting a notice to their management in compliance with Admiral Baker's orders. I hope to hear back from them shortly, but I don't hold much hope.

As promised the report on yesterdays assault on Golden Bay base
My day began with an emergency alarm that was rang on battleship Mississippi, or the ol'Miss, as many people onboard refer to the aged warship. In a hasted mission briefing it was made clear to the stationed pilots on board that a group of Rheinland warships of the RNC designation had intruded into the Texas system and needed to be dealt with.
We Mississipi pilots were sent as a support for the main LNS fleet.
As my turn to launch came, the situation had been dealt with and it turned out I was not needed at the scene.
However, another situation had come up in the meantime. According to the LNS communication there had been an unregistered base in the Cortez system that apparently sheltered enemies of Liberty. The base owner had been give notice and time to respond but as no response arrived I assume the Navy decided to act.
I entered formation with the main fleet and moved to the Cortez system with them. One [LN] pilot Jay.Wilton and myself went ahead to scout the situation before the main fleet would move in.
Upon our arrival at the base we saw a giant structure nearby that turned out to be a barge class transport that docked at the target base Golden Bay.
When the mainfleet moved in it did not take long for a group of freelance defenders to appear who tried to involve us into combat and distract us from the base.
Among them were CGS| tagged ships, independant freelancers and Reaver Mercenaries (Titanium and Morena). We met stiff resistance considering the base was not built by any large organisation or corporation.
For a while the attack was interrupted as bombers tried to attack and take out the LNS fleet but fortunately they could be defeat one by one over the course of the battle.
Eventually the siege resumed but this is when things started to get really weird. I do not remember the full extent of the bizarre happenings, but I will try to recollect as best as I can.
First, an IMG iffed ship approached and upon being asked to leave due to military operations attacked us (Guncam image, Guncam image, Guncam Image), then after it was defeated came back and started ramming our fleet ships. After this iteration was defeated as well it returned once more, with a slightly altered name "Corsaire~Pierre.Anvil" which looks like he wanted to dress up as a corsair this time. After attacking us and having been annoying and somewhat hard to understand for a while, as he was speaking strange gibberish, we managed to defeat him and go on about our business.
We suspect that this person was a severe case of the [url=]lawl's syndrome[/url] in an advanced and deterioated state.
After those two were dealt with the siege could continue until a gallic battleship arrived and started to attack us. Of course, we expected non-sensical things like this by now and dealt with the attacker swiftly after we gave warning and chances to leave the area without causing an incident.
Of course, this battleship appeared several times as well and honestly, if it weren't for the many witnesses I would be questioning my own sanity by now.
Anyways, after this was dealt with as well, the base finally crumbled and broke apart under the combined fleet's firepower. I had been in space for a very long time by now and promptly set course back to the New York system where I landed at Norfolk shipyard for repairs and servicing before returning to the Texas system and landing at battleship Mississippi.
I have to say this was the longest and most intense sortie I have ever been in my brief time with the Liberty Navy. and I enver expected that I would see such so soon after I graduated from the navy academy.
I am glad that the mission was a success and that I made it out alive. My flight recorder even shows 3 confirmed victories. (Guncam image, Guncam image, Guncam image)

This is going to be a brief report. Another emergency call went throughout the Mississippi and all pilots were called to scramble on emergency response to defend against an incoming rheinland fleet.
Unfortunately I just had to be under the shower in that moment, so I launched as one of the last.
Never the less, I saw enough of the combat scene yet, there were warships, gunboats, bombers and fightercraft. What struck me as really odd about this attack was that the rheinland gunboat forces were mostly, if not exclusively composed of bounty hunter gunships of the "Bottlenose" classification.
Not that I have seen many battles, but I honestly wonder if the Bounty Hunter's Guild is aware of that and what they would have to say about it.
Anyways, the battle proceeded in our favor. Despite losses we were able to push their assault back. I was under fire myself several times as fighter craft and bombers attacked me hoping for an easy kill but I withdrew into cover fire as my bomber is ill suited to match with space superiority fighters.
There was one pilot of note that I found intrigueing, one BDM|U-Hanswurst. He held his own against four or five of our craft attacking, plus a mercenary as far as I could see. I have seldomly seen such flying, it almost seemed as if it was madness or insanity. Maybe this pilot was infected? Who knows...
At any rate, once the rheinlanders had retreated I landed on battleship mississippi and went to the briefing room for debriefing.

After launching, I met with pilot Johnson (LNS_Bombardier), who also was assigned to the texas system, only one week before I was. We flew many missions together in the recent days. He is a good capable pilot and he has given excellent cover against attacking space superiority fighter craft many times.
Today we were sent to the North Dallas debris field in order to take out a heavily defended installation that was currently being built by the Liberty Rogues. The mission was a success and both the weapons platforms as well as the station was swiftly dealt with. Johnson dealt with the remaining fightercraft when suddenly a rheinland cruiser appeared on scanners.
I notified my superiors immediately and went in pursuit together with Johnson. The rheinland cruiser was headed for the New York jumphole in the Texas system.
Unfortunately we lost the cruiser during the jumphole transition to New York. But at that time our orders came in and we were to set course to Zone 21 and patrol there as an attack was taking place apparently. When we arrived there we found noone there and requested orders again. We were to search the area but just as we began, we received comm traffic about a fight in California against the Indians. We were to abort our search and head to California for support as we had no contact on scanners anyways, Zone 21 was clear.
Once we arrived there, the attackers were already dealt with and the remaining forces quickly defeated the last attacker.
After that, Johnson and I set course to Texas again and while he remained behind to deal with a system malfunction (I assume he will report in later) I arrived at the Mississippi and reported in the briefing room for debriefing.
Subject:Completion of 8 hours and patrol information.
indent:Well it was a tough day I would say. First I was sent to a patrol around New York and found couple pirates. First I found a Xeno and Junker fighting, so I left them. On the way back I saw a Rogue Destoyer, and more Nay came and we killed it. Moving on, I found a Outcast Transport carrying Counterfeit Software but I was to late, he ran into the Cloud and my scanners coulnt pick him up. Next I found a Barghest Rogue Bomber fighting Anthony Kalen. Anthony took care of him and we moved to Virginia to escort a Battle Transport. Well that was it for the day, I completed my 8 hours and little bit of patroling.

Admirals,
I am reporting a patrol I made two days ago, involving a number of noteworthy encounters.
First was a run-in with a Council "Redemption" battleship at Norfolk Shipyard. Its vessel ID was (C )-CLN-Yoru. Despite some initial confusion, the captain of this vessel eventually allowed me to escort him out of Liberty to Cortez. I warned him that if he was sighted in Liberty again there would be more serious consequences, so please keep an eye out for him.
Next, I caught a Bounty Hunter Orca Gunboat emerging from the *REDACTED* jumpgate in Zone-21. Unable to destroy his vessel with my own, and with no available backup, I fined the captain of this vessel and escorted him out of the Zone with a strict warning. The vessel was tagged KyAZ.
Soon thereafter, I received a report of a Xeno bomber harassing shippers in the Colorado system. This Xeno, Badicus.Bone, fancied himself a clown, spewing endless jokes and taunts across open comms. I pursued him, and encountered him opening up on a passing transport. I severely damaged his hull but he managed to make it home to Ouray before I could destroy his ship. Keep an eye out for this one in the future.
Finally, I acted on a report forwarded to me from High Command about an illegal base. I, along with Lieutenant Teerin, located this facility right where the Bounty Hunter indicated it would be. Captain Polstari made an appearance soon after and handled things from there.
