This isn't place for that discussion my dear "the closest by the lore allies", so it's my last message regarding it: you don't produce those all big RM ships; Daumann does it. When inforcard says: "after the destruction of the Navy during the 80-Years War and the economic crash that followed, Daumann has been forced to transition into the less lucrative fields of commercial and civilian ship construction", it doesn't say we stopped constructing valkyries and turtles, it says because of economic problems RM no longer ordered bazillion of ships, so DHC had to start constructing transports to still be that profitable.
And Alster really doesn't produce any RM ship, it's civilian shipyard.
Quote:Red Hessians
* Kassel G
- Cutlass (BO)
- Dromedary (FR)
- BW Trans (MT)Instead of Sabre
Aet: Done, makes sense.
* Northeim G
- Loki (LF)
- Odin (VHF)
- Thor (BO)
* Offenbach G
- Pirate Transport (MT)
- Pirate Train (HT)
- Pilgrim Liner
Swapping these with Viernheim causes 2 guard bases to have the Hessian snubs. Tends to hamper availability rather then promote it. Also, if we then swap Offenback with Viernheim as you suggest, the RH snubs aren't sold outside the guard system.
* Wolfsburg Shipyard G
- RH Gunboat
- RH Battleship
- RH Cruiser
* Ronneburg
- Scimitar (LF)Instead of Loki
- Switchblade (HF)Instead of Odin
- Sabre (VHF)Instead of Thor
Makes the RH gunboat unavailable outside the guard system. Not desireable. Also, the Hegemon is a ship that is primarily used by civilian corporations, not Hessians. I could assign the miner snubs to Northeim if the Hessians want miner craft. If Hessians want a Hegemon, they can grab one from Aland. Alternate option: Replace the RPC instead, and set the RPC to be sold at Wolfsburg instead of the gunboat.
A feedback for the list of ships sold on Hessian bases.
Kessel - BWT instead of Sabre: My guess is it was just an oversight, but there was no sell point for BWT on any of the Hessian bases or anywhere in the Omegas, for that matter. Also, as the Hessians lore-wise run the black market of BW ships (Since vanilla, actually) it makes perfect sense for them to have a sellpoint for the transport as well.
Ronneburg - Reverting the ships back to BW snubs: As mentioned above, Hessians are the main producers of the BW shipline in the southern Sirius (Zoners aside), and since they constructed their own shipline, not many Hessians use BW ships, which turns the whole line into somethin more of a commercial use, which would make sense to have a sell point outside the guard system for the various fighters of the line, with the heavier stuff (Freighter, Bomber and Transport) of the line left at an outpost right at the edge of their guard system for 'friendlier' pilots to grab.
Vogtland - Replacing the GB with a Hegemon: Apart from giving that ship an unlawful sell point, usable by both unlawful groups with a mining bonus (Hessians and Mollys), having the gunboat at Vogtland while the next sell point is less than 2 minutes away is rather pointless. Having a sellpoint for Hegemon, however, would both display the involvement of Hessians with mining, and also give that ship slot some use, unlike the multiplied GB slot.
Also, as much as I like seeing sell points for Pirate Trans/Train and the Slave Liner on Hessian bases, if you ask me, Viernheim rather than Offenbach would be a better sell point for those ships. As the base infocard suggests, Viernheim is the source of Blood Diamond trade, and being the closest Hessian base to the Mollyland, it'd make more sense to have their transport designs available at that base, rather than a base systems away, and it'd also give the non-guard Hessian bases some diversity, unlike how the current list works, which is having all the useful stuff shoved into o54, and having most of the nonguard bases sell Odin/Loki/Thor, like Hessians don't manufacture anything else. And... As to whatever should happen to Offenbach sellpoints, I'd be more glad seeing that base without a ship dealer altogether, cause it's built there for the sole purpose of keeping watch on Dresden JH, and nothing else.

Last but not least, a random idea regarding another base: What's the reason that Barrier Gate always getting the most unrelated ships assigned to it's ship dealer? It's cool to see the BW Gunship sold there, but I honestly think the other two slots could seriously need a rework. How many of the lancers visiting Barrier do you think go there to buy a Firefly? Same can be said for even a BWT. Most people who go there to set their chars up plan to run the char FL IDed/Pirate IDed, and majority of them pick either a VHF or a Bomber. For that reason, I believe having Sabre and Cutlass sold on Barrier would be far more useful than Firefly and BWT (was gonna suggest puttin Eagle, Roc and CTE GB on FP 6, but seeing as it's not even on your list, I suppose something nasty's gonna happen to it in 87), and speed things up when it comes to makin a generic char.
Figure that base is mostly visited by shady folk/smugglers. BWT, BWGB and Firefly seemed an okay ship group to cater to those. FP6 doesnt have a ship dealer, which is why it's not on the list.

Unlawful guard factions and house police guard factions are easy to bribe for rep, but you have to know to do it. So the weakest ships become the hardest to get? Sense, it does not make any.
Vets use them for the challenge sometimes, but iff they are sold on public bases then newbs buy them because they are cheap, when they should grind for more cash and buy a mk2 ship instead. Move them to guard systems and newbs cannot buy them, but the vets still can. Personally I'm with you on deleting them from the mod, just relaying what other people have said to me in prior discussions.

I could rough out a proposed distribution, if you're interested.
I really find strange why you sell only 3 ships at Barrier when you have 3 separate stations with 3 separate ship dealers that enable to sell 9 ships there. You can add 6 more civilian ships that have bad sale places there. Barrier should be able to provide enough ships for all folks that visit it.

Wow, weird it needed a gravedig for me to stumble upon this thread, but I am glad for this as I got questions.

How come Chalons-en-Champagne lacks sale points for Council Cruiser and Council Battleship and instead it sells 2 vessels which can also be bought like 2k away from it? That looks like a waste of sale points, leaving Arras base as the only sale point for Redemptions in the whole game.
My recommendation is to give Chalons-en-Champagne Council Perilous, Council Obstinate and Redemption as ships to sell.
@Govedo, you have 3 dockable points that lead to 1 base. Not 3 seperate bases. So no.
@Thyr: Someone dragged this old cow out of the river again. These have been finished and I don't plan to revisit them before the beta.
