The problem with FLHook reports would be burden of evidence. We rely on people submitting screenshots to prove what happened. The reason 99% of failed reports are discarded is because of insufficient or unclear evidence. Unless something is conclusive, we can't act on it.

Also, just because you can't obviously see something, doesn't mean nothing is going on. Food for thought.

If you just warn or try to educate them, most likely offender is going to
1. Ignore you and carry on his misdoing.
2. Not even posess appropriate forum account to even access the sanction.
3. Learn the rules.

Take away his toys and tell him to improve. Result is:
1. Further offender will suffer more and more until he learns better or gets removed permanently.
2. Learn the rules.

Taking their toys away is a minor inconvenience. It's like taking a child's toy car away, neglecting that they have a toybox full of other things to use (and probably replace said car with). However, if you send them to the naughty corner they get to seethe from their invisible prison and - hopefully - consider what they had done to end up there in the first place.

put password on server.
register on forums - and in the email which says 'it can take a few hours to process you application, meanwhile, here are the server rules'

the majority of the problem is not ass-hattery, but ignorance. education is a fine thing, but there is no reward for being educated, only punishments for ignorance. give the angels a slush fund, when new players ask them things, get the angels to ask them rules in return for the information they require, and then hand over small amounts of cash. 50k is a lot when your in a starflea

Well now I agree, I dont report people if they f1 and I kill them anyway, usually because I see several rulebreaks every time I log on, and you can only file 1 report a day.

Something to consider may be refunding someone who files a report, after all, if you're flying your ore ship, and a navy man oorp attacks you and pirates your ore, and you get him sanctioned, that doesnt really help you - unless your just vindictive and liek to see others suffer - because your ore is still gone when it shouldnt be, maybe you should get it back.

Kinda like how the admins refunded people when I loan scammed them.

I agree with spazzy to some extent.

People, for the most part, only report violations when it is hindering them personally.

If I'm LNS and another LNS lolsilent engages the Rogues I'm fighting, I'll ignore it. If I'm the Rogue getting lolsilent engaged by the LNS, I'll be very ticked off and report it.
