or was it fixed?
It will be changed to be controlled by the RFP for 4.87.
Correct, Bonn switches to RFP in 4.87.
Dev update: Finally finished the ship-to-base assignments. That should make most ships easily available to all the factions that can use them - and ships that should not be generally available (capitals) less easy to be obtained by folk not a part of the faction they belong to - due to reputation requirements to buy them (neutral rep required to buy a faction snub or gunboat, half positive rep required to buy a cruiser or battleship. Any civvy ships are not requiring reps of course).

Indeed. It would mean creating a copy of all npcs, so that you can actually shoot the mission ones. Without a hitbox, you cannot damage a ship.

PSA: If you have been having stutter/FPS lag on Disco where it does not run as smoothly as other games, please look at the fix here: https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...pid2306502

No, it would involve setting the NPCs to collide with objects rather then pass through them, much like players do. It would also involve setting better values for the mass, inertia and engine thrust parameters for -all- ships, engines, equipment and thrusters, which would basically mean rewriting the entire ship maneuverability balance parameters. This would fix the wagging ship issue too, but it's a huge job.
[Edit] One thing I do wish to push for though - adding a fixed amount of weight to armor, if it's possible (not sure if it is). Doubling the weight of a VHF on an AU8 one would give pilots a choice. Heavy armor or top dancing capability. This would also promote the use of heavy armor on ships that typically need it and are already heavy: Bombers, SHFs and freighters, while it would cause lighter ships to favor less armor so it won't impact their movement as much. Should also shorten most snub fights a bit, and make the LFs more lethal relative to the VHFs that dominate right now.

I like the idea- as it favours diversity and strategic choices! And it also sounds elegant and faster doable than redesigning tons of parameters(which might be a thing for the next edition after the upcoming one...)
That armor lessening agility is an awesome idea. Currently, the only sacrifice of having an armor is lack of space and credits spending, the armor would bring a new dimension to that.
Also, now we're talking about LFs, can you change the nomad LF's engine to the Nomad Morph engine? Labraid currently cruises at 350 instead of 400.
