From: Mr. James Barnes, Director Trade Combine Division. To: Edward Stobart, Tim Hart, Morgan DeLeah and Brüno Gehard Topic: Contract of Employment.
Gentlemen,
Following a satisfactory interview and induction exam, I am pleased to offer you the post of Trainee Captain, Mr Gehard you will be assigned to the ExSec department, you should be recieving separate instructions from Mr Farbridge.
Although Scarborough Station is our Head Quarters, most Trade is now handled by our new station Kings Cross in the New London system.
Your duties and responsibilities will be to ensure that your ship is commanded well, safely and without any infringements on any of the laws of Bretonia (except of course those Garlic eaters the Gallians, the cross dressing Mollys, the uncivilised Corsairs, the Tree Huggers Gaians and our nemesis the brainless, drunken sirens, the Reavers!).
Your supervisors will be responsible for your day to day duties. If you have any problems you can also speak to Mr Andrew Peterson, the Trade Combine Manager.
You will be entitled to four weeks' holiday in every year, in addition to the normal statutory entitlement, of which no more than two weeks may be taken consecutively. The holiday year runs from 01. September to 31. August.
Any loans for ships and equipment must be submitted to Kelly Porter in the Accounts department, authorization will either come from myself or Mr Cromwell.
Finally, I would just like to wish you all a long and happy association with us at Borderworlds Exports. In the meantime, you may wish to review the setup of our Transport Fleet
If you wish to discuss any aspect of this contract, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours in service to the Realm,
Mr J. Barnes
Director Trade Combine Division
Borderworlds Exports
I was last employed by my father as a small time trader operating out of Leeds. We didnt make much money ferrying supplies to and from New London, but we survived.
That is, until the war with Kusari then Gallia *spits to side*.
After that, my pa disappeared on one of his runs to Glasgow, and I needed to find myself a new job. So, I decided to do my part for the country, and help out Bowex
get the goods to where they're most needed.
- What experience do you have?
As a small time trader, I've never used anything bigger than a Camera.
I enjoyed ripping through the smog clouds with my friends though, in my Starflier.
- To what division are you applying?
I'd prefer to work on the Exploration/Security Division though the Shipping Combine division sounds mighty interesting too.
- Why are you interested in working for Border World Exports?
After those Kusaris and Gallians *spits* jumped us, Bretonia is reeling. I wanna do my part to get it back on it's feet.
What better way to do that than to help ship supplies?
Understand, I'm as brave as the next person, but I'd very much like to live to father children, and retire moderately rich, and the Armed Forces definitely would not get me that.
- You happen across a Gateway convoy that is under attack by Red Hessians. What do you do and why?
I may not like Gateway very much, but I like Red Hessians even less. If it looks like the convoy has a fighting chance, then I'd step in to win some brownie points.
If not ... *spits* it's a tough world out there.
- You encounter a corporate trader of Gallic origin. It croaks mockingly at you. What do you do and why?
I'd thumb my nose right back, and fire a couple warning shots for good measure. Those Gallians shouldnt be anywhere near us anyways.
- How do you feel about Glaswegian badgers?
Ooh, those got a nasty bite to them, keep your toes and children away!
- Where was your last place of employment? What experience do you have?
I used to work for the military 40 years ago, I was in a secret team of elite pilots to bring down an unknown enemy. I worked many covers from trade, bar tending, freelancing and of course hunting. After 10 years of 'covert ops' we found out that our whole organisation was just a huge conspiracy against the Government and that it was the snakes who call themselves politicians who created out team to do their dirty work.
They called themselves the 'increment' and to this day have not been seen or heard from since.
- To what division are you applying?
I am an old man now... My fighting days are over so shipping it is, however should I be conscripted to fight for this organisation I have 1 good battle in me.
- Why are you interested in working for Border World Exports?
After almost a lifetime under the radar and doing dishonest work, the time has come for me to create myself a legacy, and I strive for that legacy to be with borex
- You happen across a Gateway convoy that is under attack by Red Hessians. What do you do and why?
It would depend on my cargo, life is precious, however money makes the universe turn round.
- You encounter a corporate trader of Gallic origin. It croaks mockingly at you. What do you do and why?
I would pity his childish mind. I am too old for playground politics.
- How do you feel about Glaswegian badgers?
They are a great substitute for beef.... As is horse.

I would ignor him because if he doing something like that he is the kind of poeple who dosnt understand the meaning of the word respect
