Describe your first RP encounter/s.

My first real RP encounter must've been with Anna McCarthy and the IMG crew over at Java Station in T-23, after that I had the obligatory 'dealing with pirates' RP and then had some fun with some GRN Indies.

What were your first five ships?

My first ship was a Defender which I quickly replaced with a Raven's Talon, soon after that I got myself an Annapurna and an Albatross I believe, for hauling mined ore for legit profitz, oh and the liberty Heavy Transport which I disliked greatly.

When did you reach your first billion credits?

I never exactly reached my first billion so to speak. While I might have about a billion in assets, I never really kept to much money in my wallet unless I was saving up for something big or had a lot of smaller stuff to spend it on. I'm a businessman after all.

What were your first unofficial/official factions you've joined?

I never really hopped onto the player factions all to quickly, very recently I just hooked up with an unofficial faction of Zoners and I am hoping to get in my app for the IMG soon for my hauler but that's about it.

What do you miss the most?

Being a clueless noob working his way up to the big ships and finding all the cool stuff in Sirius, although I haven't traveled much out of my usual stomping grounds I have seen quite a bit though hope to discover more. Now I am able to generate hundreds of millions in a day with ease and no longer feel the helpless stress like I did when I first joined which is both a good and bad thing I suppose.

1. Describe your first RP encounter/s.

My really first in game encounter was when I was invited by my friend to go to his place. He showed me couple of games,including Freelancer.
He gave me a chance to fly his Bottlenose with 6 RM GB missile turrets
I remember flying to Sigma-13,seeing a red contact and asking my friend should I attack. He told me I can,but never mentioned anything about RP...so I blasted a "red" player,who was attacked by multiple "Green" players,who very soon shot me down for some reason.

With my own characters...I flew my Civi Transport in Hamburg half-filled with Gold and some player 8k away sent me a message "Hey,halt for a scan!" . I didn't look if it was a Police or a pirate,but it scared the hell out of me,I was in Bering in seconds

I also remember flying my old Corsair Lunchbox in Omicrons (Kappa/Delta) and shooting Marduk NPCs. I was approached my BHG Bottlenose and got attacked.
I cruised away and typed "No Bounty for you,LOL"

The scarriest RP encounter I remember is seeing a Nomad Cruiser in Omicron Delta,typing "Engaging Nomad". I shot it along with some Legate,I think. Not even 2 minutes later,I was surrounded by a Keeper Marduk,2 Cruisers,a GB,2 bombers and 2 fighters

About real RP encounters,I don't remember those when I was new. "Engaging Corsair" was sufficient back then


2. What were your first five ships?
My first ship was a Civi Transport called Yugocopter,a friend of mine gave me some cash to buy it. Later,he gave me 60 millions to buy a Whale on Planet Houston. (I forgot to transfer the ID,so I kept trading with Civilian ID,instead with Trader ID for 2 weeks). This was my main character for known New Berlin-New Tokyo 4.84 route.I was lucky enough to avoid trading in lolberty.
I deleted it after 4.85 was released,because I didn't need it

My next ship was Exterminator,I didn't know which name to pick,this came first in my mind. I launched my Starflea,flew all the way from NY to Omicron Gamma,being attacked by countless Nomad NPCs.
I remember someone gave me 2 millions as soon as I approached Crete+my friend gave me some cash for a Corsair GB. That was over 5 years ago...damn,my character is old

The third ship was armorless Viper mk2,with class 8 guns,without Nuke mines or CDs and Military ID (Military ID used to exist in 4.84,it was changed to what you know as Recruit ID today))

Fourth ship...well,I think it was the Universal Shipping Train

5th ship...not sure,but I guess it was a Praetorian,which I could fly really good,for a noob.

3. When did you reach your first billion credits?
After 200 missions with my Praetorian + 600 missions with my Praefect,I earned cash for CAU8 lolgate that way. (Yeah,I quit trading when 4.85 was released)


4. What were your first unofficial/official factions you've joined?
My friends created an official Universal Shipping,USV- tag,back in 4.84,which very quickly failed because they both got banned,but yeah,I was part of it,even though I couldn't RP at all.Other than that,I did not join any official factions untill a year ago,when I joined [TBH]. (I was actually pretty much innactive,because of school,except during summers)


5. What do you miss the most?
Shooting Nomad Marduks with my Corsair Lunchbox (for some reason I still find it entertaining,even though it took me 10 minutes to kill one)

1. Describe your first RP encounter/s.

The first one I can remember at least was right while Marburg was helping set me up in the NLH, and then Zapp's Molly Werewolf showed up and insulted our choice in beers. There was much arguing and then shooting, which didn't work so well since I still had class 5 guns.

2. What were your first five ships?

I had assorted cheap ones for a while that I can't remember, but my first Gaian ship was a Viper. And I had also saved up to get a CSV on my Junker. Then I took money Marburg gave me to get Gaian equipment (shhh) and make a Samura Drone, which became a Bumblebee and a Big Dragon. Back then we didn't have this fancy ability to send credits either, you had to do it the old fashioned way.

3. When did you reach your first billion credits?

I'll let you know when I get there. Too many things to spend money on to keep that much just laying around doing nothing!

4. What were your first unofficial/official factions you've joined?

NLH was first, then LWB. After that, Tinkerbell recruited me into the Junkers Congress, too.

5. What do you miss the most?

When more fights ended up being fair. And learning to aim my supernova on all the dumb BHBCs that plagued New Berlin. And probably lots since everything looks good in retrospect.

I think it was with a pirate, in California. I had my little camara and he stopped me in a Werewolf I think. We RPed and he let me go.

First one I think was SFC|, I remember flying my Liberty Dreadnought and one SFC invited me. Second I think was IC|, my friend told me about trading factions and said thats a good one.

1: I was pretty lucky in my first RP encounters, in that I fell in with a bunch of miners in Penny, and got hired as an escort, and rewarded with a Bumblebee, and another haulage job for them, that rocket started my credit aquisition. Of course being so nub, and not knowing anything, I didnt know what a good thing I was into, and went off to smuggle gaian wildlife to kusari for the rest of my trading career!

2: Starflyer-Defemder-Bumblebee- then it gets a bit confused, I picked up a havoc and templar somewhere, which I converted into my molly and BPA after many adventures. And worked my tradeship up through percheron to kujira, which I still have today; by smuggling gaian wildlife and plutonium! Sorry gmg, your critters may be slightly irradiated!

3: Gotta be the Gold rush; Mining and hauling when others wernt around, mollying when they were. Good times...

4: BPA I guess, though I did invade the molly republic's message dumps uninvited, heh heh heh.

5: The challenge. I have too much money these days, and the wiki tells me where everything is.

I think it was something to do with the .:j:., we got jumped by some Ronin and I got blasted. Then I got blasted again in the next system by the same Ronin.

After I sold my Osiris around early .86

The Hackers, I was hardly ever awake when they were, so I had to leave. Oh and I miss when the space around Rochester was basically an unlawful chatroom.

I can't resist. I started on this fine server back in the heady days of 4.79, before capships and nomads had shields and you could stick transport turrets on fighters for very amusing effect.

1. Describe your first RP encounter/s.

With a dude named MrSns, a top fellow with really poor spelling skills. I was bumming around Lolberty in my first Executioner and he hired me to escort him thru Alaska to Delta. Back before the LN SOBs locked it off. On the way I dropped out of cruise to shoot at some nomads NPCs, and he was like "where the fook are ya??" lol

2. What were your first five ships?

Ummm.... Noobflyer -> Rhino -> can't remember -> Executioner

3. When did you reach your first billion credits?

I have never made 1 billion credits.

4. What were your first unofficial/official factions you've joined?

I was in a couple of short-lived factions in the early days, setup by some very imaginative fellows which unfortunately didn't reach critical mass. Like [TDE] (The Dacian Empire) and a Junker faction setup by Yngen. Of the big ones:
- [IND] -- back when Hoodlum was the guv'nor
- [TAZ] -- may it continue to prosper
- [TBH] or [+] or w/e it is now -- which me and MrSns setup, as the first Corsair faction that actually lasted (IIRC) and as a counterpoint to the Outcast-heavy factions then current. It warms my heart that our baby is still going.

5. What do you miss the most?

- It's too friggin rule heavy now. I don't mean server rules, I mean faction rules -- pages and pages of laws, regulations, registrations, and "common knowledge" for every damn house and faction. Who has time to read and abide by all that sh*t? I know it's RP, and some very smart people worked hard writing it up, but there comes a time when it's so voluminous that is just hurts gameplay and becomes too much like real life.

- Same goes for cruise drain, autorepping, tech nerfing, and all the rest. It all adds up to a PITA.

- What's with the hating of indies now? Some of my best chars were/are indies, on both sides of the law, and they never had a problem doing their thing. There's always been friction between indies and factions, but now it is definitely lopped-sided to official faction (see point on rules above).

- Malaclypse. Seriously.

Actually, I can't remember, but I think, it was one with BH Manta, hugging Solarius against me on Odin and someone on Heimdall

Never had so much money on my accs. Or you mean total worth pf ypur ships and equip?
4. What were your first unofficial/official factions you've joined?
[RF], cause I've started playing freelancer to fly with them
5. What do you miss the most?
Full server, when you can't connect to it.

Playing for a year, so you can't take me seriosly.

1. Describe your first RP encounter/s.
I supplied an Order Cruiser in the Badlands with some food and water when I still had my awesome Junker Camara. I dont remember the guys name, but I think he was in a Corsair Cruiser, sending out a mysterious job offer via system chat and I accepted that. Was a really great encounter.

2. What were your first five ships?
A Camara, which later transformed into a Percheon, to transform into a Pirate Train.
The next one was a Lane Hacker Slipstream, back when it still was openly available and then there was that awesome Viper Mk2.

3. When did you reach your first billion credits?
Should have been in the middle of 2010, when you could make quite some cash with smart ship sales. You can still do that, but its not as good as it used to be Q_Q

4. What were your first unofficial/official factions you've joined?
The =CR=, the Harvesters and the RFP, back when TomTom had started it again.

5. What do you miss the most?
The fairness, the awesome times in the Taus, Dublin Omegas and Omicrons. Also some of the people that have left by now and will likely not come back.
The Lunchbox, Slipstream and the Red Cat, such funny ships.

1. Describe your first RP encounter/s.

I don't remember the very first, but the oldest that comes to mind is an escort by HF through Rheinland space, I was playing a role of a 'special cargo' (Nomad Gunboat) hauled from Omegas. Having RM intercept the convoy and attempt to capture it for themselves. Had a nice combination of RP, chase scene and some of PvP.

2. What were your first five ships?

Eagle, Liberty Gunboat, Nomad Gunboat, Large Transport, Nomad Battleship

3. When did you reach your first billion credits?

In two days running Malta/New Berlin route in a Large Transport, that was back in 2007 I think. Wasn't a total chore though - RM were trying to stop it and sometimes they succeeded in that. Bought Nomad Battleship (Harbinger) and never again ran trade routes.

4. What were your first unofficial/official factions you've joined?

HF and after a while went to focus on nomad RP and eventually made Keepers. From time to time would join other factions, both official and unofficial, like Edge, some indie Order faction and such.

5. What do you miss the most?

I don't play anymore, for better or worse the environment has changed. So I guess I miss the pure carnage of the old times, a lighthearted approach to it. Doesn't mean there were no problems of course, but to me it was quite fun.
