Quote:im not just a 'hogosha player' I am in every faction in Kusari (almost) and it was reported to me on several channels (not the hogosha one however) so I undocked a Kusari Battleship since it was clear I was not going to get any help from anyone else. otherwise I mightve just undocked a KSP bomber or KPT cruiser.
So there's not much common sense behind "kusari officials" doing nothing, it's just meta to please your will, ha?
And why do you claim that you have authority over other KSP/KNF ID'd player? You have shot him!
Why shouldn't we insist on deletion of your ship? We've got precedent
Go ahead. if you or ryoken think you have grounds to report me go ahead. But as it stands I did not shoot him, I merely threatened to shoot him.
But what that player did and what I did are 2 different things. I had a lot of RP to back up a possible kill of a same IDed player (he was attacking a lawful base.) While that person in the link was merely going out of his way to kill other LNS for no apparent reason
But in this case Ryoken was the one to first break his ID.
Edit: and Ryoken is well aware that the base is reported as lawful, he obviously knows the Kusari Legal codex and I would hope he knows that if the base did something naughty that he would report it to the relevant authorities so it can get sorted. instead he took the law into his own hands and let his ooRP hatred fuel his inRP actions (atleast that is what it looks like to me) and started shooting a lawful base.
Ill reiterate what hawk said.

Collect evidence, send it to him and do RP. There is an IMPARTIAL Kusari Prime minister.
If you think Trail broke the server rules, report him, otherwise it is useless trolling.
Personally I think he responded in a way that he thought was appropriate and if I was going to judge him, I would look equally at Ryoken.
Both of these followed the RP they had set themselves and I find it fine for both of them to act the way they did.

I am the Kusari prime minister and i order you to destroy the base.
there are MANY problems with kusari ( mainly kusari players mind, not kusari as it is set up - that time the devs do not take the responsibility for the crap )
but if the hogosha has a mutual understanding with kusari - hence does not need to fear the wrath of the KNF ( which is obviously the case ) - why does it need platforms anyway?
now - if it is argued that it has to have platforms - where is the HARM in adjusting the rep according NOT to attack players that are most unlikely to attack that base ... and also friendly with kusari? as far as i can tell - at least the first time it popped up - players have not asked to have the base removed or destroyed - but to have its friend/foe rep adjusted. - that is a reasonable request - and i ... as a player ... am at a loss why it has not been done. after all that time - i actually do suspect lower motives than justification in roleplay.

"even if your roleplay is just and logical - it can be disruptive and outright harmful in terms of fairplay and gameplay. in that case one can be a bigger man and give in for the sake of gameplay"
a reminder: roleplay is also to utterly crush an enemy if you can - outnumber, cheat, exploit, lie, deceive - that is real roleplay. - but harmful in an enviroment of players who all wish to have a good time. roleplay does not trump gameplay. ( if it did - we would silently jump little helpless fighters with big weapons and get a pat on our back from the admins for admirable roleplay )

"what is the purpose of the base HAVING weapons?"
Jinx, every base out there should be forced into defensive mode, so that they only fire on ships that are shooting at the base. This isnt a failure, giving the power of force projection to player community has worked exactly as expected, and its time to take it away.
uh - there are situations where an aggressive stance is appropriate - just not in that case.
molly building a base inside THEIR gold mining fields to actively fend off BMM miners is something that is appropriate - if the BAF is hostile to the molly base.
but in that case - we have a base that actively defends an area - while no one is supposed to be hostile to it.
but we really have to look at it from an ooc perspective now.
if an element - no matter what element - harms the gameplay - is it not reasonable to remove it for the sake of gameplay? - when it is something only we devs can remove - things are sad and dire - because we are dependent on long update cycles - .. here however we are in luck - the players can easily and quickly remedy the situation and improve gameplay. - at least if they care to do it / want to do it.
peace and a pacified region is great in real life - in a game based on arcade combat however - every playerfaction should realize that it is unpreferable.
The station in question has platforms, "built into lane rings". Those only serve as small ship instakillers.
Perhaps, i have to thank you for not building those near the left docking ring, so i still can undock with a snub.

Hohoho funny guy. Very constructive to this thread.
All you are doing is making snarky comments and provoking comments out of people. If you cant be constructive you might as well leave this thread and stop trolling.

It has weapons because blood dragons sometimes tend to shoot at it. And so do rogue navy admirals it seems.
There was a thread somewhere where people could get their rep fix but im not sure where it went (might in the bases section of the forum.
