First, but in reality its maybe less agile, so pirates have a good chance of SNACing you (if they're in a bomber) so, the change would wreck RP. Also what the above one said, it looks like a 4k transport.
Second, it may look like small, but you need to scale it equal.

To be honest, the shape suggests it'd be closer in size to the Gull than a 4k transport. As a basic remodel, it'll be scaled to roughly the same size as the current one to save on rebalancing and hardpointing. Chill your worries, people.
Quote:Built in Bretonia, the Firefly is one of the favourite ships for freelancing traders in Sirius. In addition to generous cargo hold, this vessel is well-defended against pirates and has impressive maneuverability for ship of its size. Although Firefly is usually used for legal trade, presence of hidden caches inside the ship hull make her perfect for carrying contraband goods.
I had a lot of ideas about this ship, just because from lore its been build in Bretonia. Well it should look like something small, with "generous cargo hold" but not pods. "well-defended against pirates" which means a lot of guns like the current firefly (8 - 4 fore/4aft) and with "impressive maneuverability" which means is should look like a hybrid between small cargo ship and very very old and early model of warship.
I was looking for ideas on the net of possible replacement and found one ship model from a movie which possible you wont know: "Velocity Trap".
Here is an Imageof how the ship looks like from sides and front view. The image was made by me, taking SS from the trailer of the movie, later modified per stages (cuz the ship was moving).
This ship have very well revealed "head", "neck", and "body" similar to other bretonian ships. It looks like the "scales" were removed from it (representation of the ship being very very old bretonian design).
Jinx said its hard to see how the ship should be created as model considering this image.(He is ship builder and I respect his opinions about these matters) but still this one is I belive a good start. Maybe it can be taken under consideration.
I don't believe that infocards are particularly influential when it comes to ship balancing - particularly when a new model is the perfect excuse to change/update the Firefly's infocard. (That said, there's no reason why it still can't be a Bretonian-designed ship. Gateway's first foray into the ship market backed by the IMG, perhaps?)
It's a beautiful ship. However, the firefly is not a beautiful ship and that is part of what makes it appealing. I like your ship and would like to see it added but maybe not as a replacement for the firefly.

I agree with Hawk. Maybe add it as another 'civilian' or Borderworlds transport for freelancers to use.
