I thought the Barrcuda will be taken out of the game with all the tier 1 ships. Guess its not a tier 1. But its nice to hear the bounty hunters have another ship available, similar to Hammerhead i suppose?
Barracuda will be the BHG HF. As a MK1 version of the Manta, the Hammerhead will be dropped (existing ships will still be usable, but it won't be sold anymore). Current stats, pending balance review:
54 B/B, 8100 hull, 6 class 9 (in 4.87 class 9s are reclassified to class 8) guns, class 9 HF shield.
Update:
- Regenerated ship stat infocards, added cards for new ships. Cannon's infocard tool is most useful for this.
- Started work on the system and base infocards.
- Called for ideas in Infocard Central on how to efficiently generate rumors for the 599 NPC bases we have in the mod...

Barracuda is MK1 of Hammerhead, These two are in Vanila FL, Manta is new ship with different model.

What will happen to the lvl9 and lvl 10 slots on fighter on the next version?

It won't be needed to unmount/remount weapons, both the hardpoints on the model and the requirements on the weapon will change simultaneously. Only some fighter missiles may get force-unmounted initially.
And James: I suggest you compare the Hammerhead model to the Barracuda one. What you're saying simply isn't true.

Seeing missiles are now separate by making them "exclusive" 10 class, does it means LF's and HF's (normally not using weapons beyond class 8 by new standards) will not be capable of using missiles?
Missiles are getting their own slots now? How much have missiles changed, if at all, to warrant their own slot? Normally in games that limit missiles like that they are pretty powerful, our missiles are...less than that. Have they been buffed at all or is this just to prevent full missile loadouts?
