I find this a very nice idea.

Though, I can't acquire a taste for writing a story under pressure. Of course a month is time enough, but I wouldn't like to start a completely new idea just for the purpose of being read/judged by others.

In the end I do write the stories for myself to improve their ingame RP and continue their story making them an interesting conversational partner ingame, and of course make them public for the people here, in case they're interested in understanding my character's RP better.

After all, the information in biographies is unknown to anyone else but the character himself. And... I'm getting side-tracked.

Just wanted to explain why I won't participate, although I love to write stories. (Maybe I'll apply as Judge if more are needed.)

Hm, sadly i have noticed this thread just now, but since it's only a day old - i'd like to add that this kind of contest (though perhaps "old-fashioned") is quite interesting and i've seen it happen in multiple RP communities before. It's a great idea and i'd like to participate if that's ok, but i'm not sure if i understood that right:

"To register a story, just provide the title and a link to the thread here."

Does this mean that in order to register we have to create (and link) a thread with the title, earlier, then update it with the full story by the end of the contest or just submit the title/link when it's fully done?

Either way - i'll try to see if i can cook something up.

So long as the story is finished before the month is up, you can submit it whenever you like. We won't start judging it until the end of the contest, anyway.

We have about.. seven (this is including one who isn't processed yet, if I recall jammi correctly.) ? Pretty sure we're good on judges. Why not just write some epic story? I'm sure you've got the talent to win if you put some effort into it.

I will most likely write a story either way - whether i'm a judge or not. I'm here for the fun of it, not for the prizes.
Though - i do understand your point - i'll be starting my story soon and edit this post with a link when needed.
