why was it not submitted earlier - you know, when there was more time... - also .. contact AD to accept it via skype or PM - he is the one who will have to hitbox it - unless you did it.. also
I would if I'd still have a 3D editing program. (and a clue)

is it hardpointed?
I haven't submitted it earlier because it isn't done.
3D modelling makes me weep , like literally.
I am about as technical as a dried out coconut.
Though I was making good progress with the model and understanding the 3D modelling stuff , my old pc's motherboard died.
After a month or so I bought a new pc but I don't even have Photoshop anymore.
Another (former) member of this community offered me to finish it,
but I don't wanna bother him with it anymore, especially not since he kind of dislikes this place now...
The model isn't done.
Sure it looks good , but it doesn't have any hardpoints.
It's not hitboxed.
It needs some serious texturing.
I am not sure if people want this model , and I am even less sure that someone wants to put time in finishing it.
So well that's all folks

I never received any model from Joey. I did send one to be textured and worked on (I thought to Swallow, but no longer sure about it), but never got any response on it - so I asked for a second model. Jinx produced 2 - one of which I discarded on being not at all Sairlike. The second worked out nicely so it was put in. It feels a bit like the Sair cruiser...
If the model above is ever completed and submitted to me, it'll be considered for inclusion. Until then, folk crying about that transport before even having seen it in 3D (all I posted was 2 screens from a badly lit vantage point in Gamma) should either come up with a better model, or motivate a developer capable of creating one to make such. Given the general tone in this topic, I don't see the latter happening.

So isn't there anyone who can and wants to finish that model?
I've been taking a look at the placeholder and my thingy, and I have to conclude that mine at least looks more sair like.
Meh, again horns. People, Corsair ships aren't meant to have horns (check Corsair vanilla ships, NO horns there), it's impractical for Corsairs to use them anyway.
I'm 98% certain that if the powers on high said that the old 'sair GB model was coming back as a "placeholder" Sair transport that a parade would be held on the spot.
Flags would be unfurled from the bobbing poles of a legion of, well, let's just say the Corsairs would be excited.

No it's from Sins of a Solar Empire. So everything's chill.
Also, so what. It's popular. It looks good. It fits the part.
It's pooooooooooooooooooooooooopular. People would -enjoy- flying it. People would -enjoy- looking at it. People would be having a good time with their nostalgia value iconic Corsair funboat while the Joey mess is fixed.
It's not a bloody X Wing or a Star Destroyer, it's not even from one of the films. It's from 1-2 comics and one of the ancient game.
There's something to be said for putting player preference on the backburner in the name of maintaining purity of vision while adding imports from far more contemporary sources for individual players. Hell, I think they even have a word for that.
