Name and Gender:
Peter "Sundowner" Nelson, Male
Age and Place of Birt:
27, Manhattan, Liberty
Skills:
I am adept in leading people "in field", forming plans and tactics "in situ". I can also handle myself in hostile territory with little to none logistical support.
Previous Job:
Liberty Navy, 76th "Ice Spectres" Deep Space Recon, Juneau Shipyard
Department Interested in Joining:
Tactical operations, Deep space reconnaissance
Have you ever piloted a fighter craft and/or a bomber?
Yes, light and heavy fighters, both within Liberty's borders and in hostile territory.
Why are you interested in joining the LSF?
My squadron is being liquidated with its tasks reasigned to LSF and men reassigned to other units. I am not really "frontliner", while it may sound paradoxally coming from somebody who's most of time in space was far away from his home base, but recon and combat are two different things. I was told by my superiors that if I want to continue to do what I was doing I'm better off submiting my papers to LSF.
Do you have a criminal record, or have been in trouble with the Liberty law? If so, for what reasons?
Nothing to be proud of. Four days in brig for brawl with fellow pilot.
Do you have any skills, competences and/or personality traits that could be useful towards the LSF?
I was flying deep space recon in and beyond Alaska system, always with little to no support for long hours. That brutal school of flying that leaves those who survive more patient, composed and, to put it right, distanced to whats happening around them. Even in center of hell you have to be cool as ice if you want to make it out alive.
Tell us about yourself, that wasn't already put on the application so far.
Born on Manhattan 27 years ago. Enlisted to West Point at age of 18, graduated with average scores at age of 22. I was part of border guard, frequently patroling Bering and Hudson. At age of 24 I was reasigned to Alaska where I was part of deep space recon, mostly scouting regions far away from our bases or acting as pointman/spotter for heavy guns patrolin the region.
Pathological smoker, abstainer, healthy. Good at flying, pathfinding and navigating, not that good at dogfighting.

What should an LSF member do (Tasks, RP style, etc)?
As professional operative in service of LSF I should avoid unnecessary engagements. I should value secrecy and avoid becoming center of attention. Never seek fame, never expect credit or commendation from liberty authorities for my actions. I must known, understand and prioritize strategic objectives of operation I am participating in adapting my behaviour to ever-changing situation. If there's no risk of compromising operation I must support other branches with intel and if situation requires my flying and combat skills.

Everything outside of Conn should be happening within RP. 5.6 to 5.8: If I've docked station in combat with enemies on scanner, or I was killed, I have to leave system for 2 hours either by flying from that system or switching to character outside of that system.
When growing up, i watched my father serve and protect the population of Planet Houston. When he got ruthlessly murdered by a Rheinland agent, I decided that i would do everything in my power to stop this from happening to other people. First i joined the local police department, but i felt like my hard work didnt have enough effect. Working my way up to the security force of Planet Houston, i felt a lot more in place. But i wanted to do more then just protect Planet Houston. Thats why i decided to apply for the LSF.

What should an LSF member do (Tasks, RP style, etc)?
- Assist the LPI in the protection of civilians and Liberty lawfull traders.
- Gather intelligence outside of Liberty about upcomming attacks, smugglers, etc.
- Undermine Rheinland economy.
- Protect Liberty from internal and external threats.
Have you read AND understood the server rules of discovery?
Yes
Then explain why the following rules are important: 3.1:
Its a game, making hatefull comments or real life threats will ruin the game for other people. Making in character threats strengthen the feel of roleplay on the server.
3.3:
The more OOC chat there is in game, the more it will feel like ur not playing as "someone". In System or Local chat you should try to never chat OOC. If you do the whole system will feel "out of game".
3.4:
For new players especcially, it can be very confusing if you inpersonate an admin.
This can cause players to loose faith in the admins and leave the server. Furthermore u can give the server a bad name.
5.2:
When u attack someone in game, there has to be a reason for this. Because your playing as a certain character, who is part of a faction. In real life you wont shoot at someone for no reason. The police dont, and neither does the military.
5.6 to 5.8:
Simple, In real life, if your dead... your dead. You dont respawn with your same body or another body. Therefor it would be very akward for roleplay if you come back and shoot the person who has just "KILLED" you.

Please report to the Battleship Missouri, with a fully equiped and ID'd Avenger/Guardian class VHF. LSF representatives will meet you there and will give you further instructions.
COMM ID:AIT Peter Nelson TARGET ID:AiT Zaltarias Postreieseie SUBJECT:Affiliation ENCRYPTION:Low PRIORITY:Medium
Let me me bring up my last communique:
Agent Zaltarias, if you'll still need help in obtaining LSF affiliation, feel free to contact me using S.K.Y.P.3 protocol, my ID is rafio_uni and get your ship to planet Manhattan.
My offer is valid for everybody who is interested.
Place of Birth: Planet Manhattan, Hoboken District
Skills: Nothing out of the ordinary, but still good enough to be an adequate military asset.
Previous Jobs: None. Currently occupied with a standard Liberty Armed Forces position, 3rd year.
Law enforcement, Military and/or Para-military History: 2 years of active service in the Liberty Armed Forces as a private.
Department Interested in Joining: Department of Tactical Operations. Later, when requirements are met, the Department of Research, Development and Analysis.
All questions below must be answered, in order for your application to be considered.
Have you ever piloted a fighter craft and/or a bomber?
Yes. I have evenly balanced experience with both fighters and bombers. My current vessel of choice is my personal Upholder.
Why are you interested in joining the LSF?
As a private, I only get to see the most basic of action. I think it's time for me to provide a considerably better service for my Republic, hence my attempt to join the official LSF ranks.
Do you have a criminal record, or have been in trouble with the Liberty law? If so, for what reasons?
Clean as a whistle.
Do you have any skills, competences and/or personality traits that could be useful towards the LSF?
I'm an avid learner and worker, and I'm fully open for any duties required of me. The satisfaction of working for Liberty is reward enough for anything I do, so you won't go amiss with recruiting me.
Tell us about yourself, that wasn't already put on the application so far. (//short bio of the character, minimum 2-3 lines)
There isn't much notable things I can tell about me. Most of it is pretty standard for an armed forces pilot. I was born in a military family, my father being the pushy kind who wanted me to follow in his footsteps. As you can see, he was successful at it, though not against my own interest. My old man has always been a hero to me, and being a freedom fighter of my own was mostly just a dream, though I never thought I could pull it off.
At the age of 18, I enlisted in the Liberty Armed Forces training program, which I successfully completed a little over 2 years ago with flying colours. Since then, I've been living a pretty repetitive life of maintaining the law in Liberty in order to earn a stable income which I invested in an apartment in the Hoboken District, the same place I was born. The childhood memories were of too sentimental value for me to abandon. With a landing pad and Starbucks in an arm's reach, I can take a relaxing flight around New York with a fresh espresso to start off a working day.
I have it pretty good, in hindsight, but I think there's more to it than sightseeing the stars followed by apprehending criminals. The big LSF scene sounds exactly like place for me to be right now. Perhaps I'm wrong, in due time it should prove to myself whether it's where I enjoy my duties or not, though that doesn't mean I'll give any less than the best effort I can put into it.
If this application is approved, you will be put in our AIT (agent in training) course for two weeks, where we will determine if you're fit to be a agent in the LSF.

What should an LSF member do (Tasks, RP style, etc)?
Act as a good example to other players (both in roleplay and out of roleplay), keeping Liberty clear of criminals and the citizens save, performing reconnaissance, while keeping an FBI like tint to all of it. Covert and professional.
Have you read AND understood the server rules of discovery?
Yes
Then explain why the following rules are important: 3.1: To keep a friendly atmosphere on the server and ensure no younglings are mentally scarred in the process of playing on the server 3.3: The server is a heavy roleplay server, so out of character should be avoided at all times to keep it as immersive as possible 3.4: Punishing and judging players is up to the admins, so pretending to be one or trying to do their duties of warning others shouldn't be done by regular players. At most, it should be kept to informing a player of a rule they might be breaking. They might just be unaware of it, so it would only be of help. 5.2: Players should be given a chance to react to hostilities before they start, otherwise there wouldn't be much room for roleplaying in the form of communicating, and allowing everyone to just kill everyone else without a word would probably create a very hostile environment 5.6 to 5.8: To keep some sort of balance and realism for in roleplay combat. If a person gets shot down, it wouldn't make sense for them to be able to re-enter combat instantly, for example. It would also be pretty annoying to be constantly shot by the same person
