That is the thing. Gun balance takes in account several factors like in what ships they are used, prime contenders, the works. Lore also. But, Outcasts, as the example you used, have 4.00's and 3.03's. Those are not chasing weapons. The Krakens, as Aerelm said in the balance logs, are going to get to be like the remaining particle guns, 650ms. Wyrms will stay at 700ms. Corsairs have better deshielders, and if need be, can use flashies at 100% core, which is actually epic on Titan core.
You, personally, don't like workarounds. Yet i fail to see your point and reasons if you are lobbying for a new Corsair high refire high speed chaser weapon.

Correct me if I am mistaken, but to my understanding the Titan's powercore was not made to balance out core-nerf from tech mis-match. I do not know if that is what Rodnas means though.
As for civillian (or any foreign) guns on corsair ships - lore states that this is something this particular faction is highly opposed of. But I am sure this has been discussed to death already before.

maybe if you discuss future of "op" gunboat you will give it finally normal arcs.
Instead of weird 340 or smth like that.
3 to sides.. 4 forward, 1-5 backward.. with pilots that have idea how to fight that boat only 1 turret will be constantly shooting them.

Titan's core as any other ship core.
Gaian guns run at 90% in a Titan. That's around 1200 regen per second.
A Sabre running at 100% has less than that. Around 1100.
There you have your chase guns and what not.
Lore or not, i have seen buckets of Titans with Flashpoints. I've seen Titans with Codes, hitting like a hammer. And balance can very well be abused as lore is ignored by the common, newbie player.
You already have two guns. The Tizzies and the Sallies. If you want a third (which i see as a very hard thing to happen), or replace one of those, sure. Propose something new.
I will be here to provide feedback if such happens.

You'll find out I suppose. Cerbs move at 900m/s, I can dodge those in pretty much any Medium Core Gunboat.
An awesome (and quite easy) option would be to remove/nerf autoaim :|
I read in this thread that the guns would be rebalanced to better suit our current snub line which is fine. However, I am interested in knowing how the Coalition ships are going to be balanced.
Right now the Insurgent for example, turns about the same or slightly worse as a Titan but without the armor or powercore to make up for it.
What I'm wondering is what is the philosophy behind the balances sort of. What are we getting and what are we trading off sort of thing.
Funny. Aren't you the guy who kept tellin everyone how DPS on boat turrets is gettin cut to half? Now you're automatically assuming we're not gonna do anything else about gunboats and just throw them into the wild with their new turrets. Cute.

It differs for each ship, because unlike gun balancing, process of ship balancing can not be standardized due to each ship's individual shape and size... But it's mainly based on the general profile of each ship. However, when a ship's shape or size is way off, it usually ends up gettin sub-par stats to prevent it from turning overpowered.
4.86 Coalition ships were broken due to their Dagger-like profile, but now that the Insurgie has a couple of extra components, it's gonna get proper stats.

Yes, numerous times over the years.
However, that's a vanilla model and resizing vanilla ships is somewhat problematic and takes longer to fix than resized custom ships. There are a few vanilla ships on our resize list already, but those will be taken care of sometime durin the post-release updates.
Ideal solution would be having a remodel of the same design with shorter fins rather than resizing the current model.
