Biography: I grew up on Planet Manhattan as an only child of parents who were fairly well-off - Jake and Hanna.
That is, we were well-off until my father got fired at the insurance company he worked for - likely some branch of Interspace Commerce (I don't know, I never asked) - seven years ago. The time he got fired was also the time I dropped out of high school. You see, attending an expensive private high school doesn't go well with being poor. My parents said they could afford me staying at school, but I didn't believe them. I didn't want to force my parents into poverty. You can imagine that my parents didn't quite like me being at home "wasting my life", so the situation at home was tense to say the least. I decided to leave, and a few months after I dropped out of school I managed to get a ride to Planet Curacao where I worked as a bartender. I didn't plan to stay long, but I ended up staying there until I turned 21. It was then that I realized that I was "supposed to be an adult now", and decided to try and make something of my life. With the money I'd saved up I signed up for basic flight training at a small flight school on Planet Los Angeles. I've only recently graduated as I had to take a few breaks during training to scrape together some cash.
Relevant Experience: I was working for IMG defend wing for some time now, so iv seen a lot of combats. I have a NYX and i know how to use it.
Your reasons for applying to the Military: You know why, those damn Gauls, i don't like them, i don't like them at all...
Yeah, watching us get slaughtered on the way out of Tau-44 got the Guild a bit worried about their situation. I see you're one who'd like to do something about that, and experience out in the Taus will save me some work on your training.
You're accepted into the Colonial Military, and even get a fancy uniform if you are into that sort of thing. Enjoy.
Name:Aeyrn "Fie" Langley Age:Twenty-Six Birthplace:Cambridge Regional Hospital, Planet Cambridge, Bretonia Biography:Born and raised on Planet Cambridge to a relatively rich mid-class family. Attended both the Cambridge military academy as well as a number of private schools during my childhood and teenage years. Graduated relatively successfully and entered the Armed Forces literally weeks before the Gaul invasion of the Tau region. My first commission was aboard Her Majesty's Ship, The Invictus, a Bretonian class destroyer that holds quite a name for itself back home.
Prior to filling out this application form, I was part of a small operations wing dubbed 'The Fifth Suffolk Sabres.' A wing that later turned renegaded due to actions that weren't in the wings favor. At that particular time I was serving as Executive Officer of the now-stripped Liberty Siege Cruiser dubbed 'The Venona.'
That's... pretty much it, I believe.
Relevant Experience:Standard combat patrols to bridge command of destroyer class Capital ships. Classified Operations ranging from Spec Ops, Black Ops, and false flag. Your reasons for applying to the Military:Re-applying to the Bretonian Armed Forces is a death sentence as far as I'm concerned. The remnants of the Fifth have all but disappeared, I wish to continue fighting against the Gaul invaders, preferably under a new command structure.

Do I need to list anymore?
3) How often do you normally play/come online for?
+ A couple of hours at the most, depending on when I'm not at work or occupied with other activities.
I do of course know who you are, the 5th having been 'accommodated' by Sabah for several months now. Albeit we had begun to wonder where the Venona and Faringdon had found to dock in recent times.
*he takes a personal note to have the slime removed and the Ex-Mortis hangar re-tooled*
Someone with the extensive training, and some experience to go along with it should cope well in our command structure. For that reason, I accept your application to the Colonial Military. For now, Flight Officer should suit you well, and perhaps there would be a place in the fleet for you in time.
Birthplace: Denver Central Spaceport, Planet Denver, Libertonian Space...If you must know.
Biography: Well, there isn't really much to say here, my parents are alive, probably...maybe not my father, he was with the Old Kusari Navy, I haven't heard from him in a long time. My mother lives on planet Denver to my knowledge, though again, I haven't heard from her in a long time either. I've been living on my own since I was about sixteen.
My mother...wasn't really a suitable parent, but I'm not going to go into detail, not here. I've slept in shelters, streets, floors, beds, on couches, you name it. When I hit seventeen a group of what I guess you could call Mercenaries picked me up, I didn't really do much for them...not in the way of their tradecraft anyway, but whatever. They gave me a comfy room aboard their ship, the money was decent and they taught me how to maintain and use firearms, and hand to hand combat too, I was even pretty good at it.
Two years after that? Oh well, turns out the authorities in Liberty weren't too fond of my "friends", the ship was seized and the crew, save for me, carted off to prison. Oh well, back to square one...but not really.
See I actually wound up enlisting in the Libertonian Marine Corps not long after being returned to Denver, and my mother. There was no way I was going back to that, certainly not with her...and I figured "Hey, I learned some useful stuff with those Mercs...why not do something with it?"
So yep...I wound up serving as a member of the VBSS team aboard a Naval Cargo Interdiction ship, mostly operating between Texas and Rheinland, that lasted until, well...earlier this year, that's when things got serious...I can't really explain it.
Trouble just seems to follow me and...Ugh, like I said..I can't explain it, but I can't go back to Liberty after all that, there's just no way. I messed up and people got hurt...and well, I panicked. They think I'm a deserter or something now...but that's not right...So whatever, here I am and..hey why am I still talking to this thing anyway??
Relevant Experience:
- Infantry Combat Training.
- Basic flight training.
- Took part in more than two dozen interdiction operations, boarding hostile vessels to engage and neutralize their crew.
Your reasons for applying to the Military: I have nowhere to go, I possess relevent training and I don't want it to go to waste..and well, my jacket kind of matches your uniforms anyway so...why not? No but seriously...you're fighting the good fight, and I think I can help, and I'm willing to prove it.
>>Playing Attached Audio File<< I..do sincerely hope that you will consider my worth as a member of your Armed Forces, take a chance on me, even. Your society seems a good fit for me, and we share common enemies...I am willing to sacrifice my life in defense of your cause, if you allow me to call your territories my home.
Sassy young woman from Liberty with combat training? Hmmm, not really my type for that last part, but the Military has better taste than I do. Anyway, we'll accept you as a Warrant Officer to get you used to things. Uniform's not mandatory, at least I'm not going to board your ship and insist. The Old Man might, but only if you get on his bad side. You can sew a squadron patch on when you get assigned - interdicting Cardi or Gallic cargo is up to you. Who knows, you might just like it here with us Colonials.
Name: Lazarus Mercer
Age: 29
Birthplace: Crayter
Biography: Exactly what my Birthplace suggests. I was one of the Thousands that moved to Sirius in 802 A.S. Was a harsh time with no certainty, I was always with my friends, did everything with them. The Security work was no problem...though in time we grew apart from there. I haven't seen them in years, I guess they're dead but I...I'm not so sure. I hold onto the idea that maybe one day i'll cross their paths again but...who knows. Anyway, my parents...sort of went insane over leadership, they were high up and so I don't hear from them either. Pretty lonely in Sirius now, especially after being hauled out of Tau-44. I went exploring, lost everyone. I hide it all by being funny and sarcastic, seems i'm pretty good at it! I like making people laugh. When a situation arises though, I can deal with it professionally.
Relevant Experience: Flight training from a young age due to my parents position back then, was doing it waaay before most. Can fly fighters no problem. Ran escort and everything on several operations.
Your reasons for applying to the Military: I want payback against the Gauls that drove us from our comfortable settlement...well, as comfortable as it could be. Also? I want company again, in the military you have to trust people, I can do that and I won't feel lonely. I'll be part of a group again and that motivates me from dawn 'til dusk on every darn planet, every darn day so I can perform to the best of my ability in this overwhelming sector of hate. Damn Sirius, you can change people.

Another Crayter-born back to fight the good fight, not bad. From the sounds of your story, you'll definitely understand "For those we left behind"; we've all lost someone before or since leaving Crayter. So yeah, you're accepted as a Warrant Officer and then can find some company in a squadron. Maybe my Hell's Angels will become your new happy family.
And to the rest of you standing out there,
I've got enough nuggets to deal with for now, can't be throwing a bunch of them at the Gauls and sniffers to get killed. Might as well shack up here or on the Gate for now, we'll be CLOSED for a few days.
The young man enters the recruitment office, he stares at the passing flight officers and other personnel before continuing forward, passing the colonial movers with a slight smirk in his jaw and standing upright as he comes face to face with the recruitment officer, the young man seems completely comfortable with his surroundings and the people around him, accustomed to military personnel presence. He takes the form and starts filling it out.
Name: Kyle Westridge
Age: 19
Birthplace: Crayterian Transport "Undaunted", Tau 23 System.
Biography: Kyle was born in space on an old class Crayterian transport while in flight in Tau 23, when the Colonial Republic was only just reforming in the Sirius sector. His father had served under the Crayterian Police as well as Military and continued to do so in the Republic. Thus Kyle had always been more "intimate" with Military proceeding and protocols and was familiar with them. In a way he was raised by the military, Kyle's only wish and unchanging dream was to follow in his family's footsteps and serve the Colonial Republic as a pilot and officer. He was taught how to fight by his father and the men under his command and just like many other Colonial boys, had learned how to fly before he could walk. When he had finally come of age to apply for the Military, fate had decided otherwise and the Gallic invasion of 44 happened and in the confusion he never had the chance and just like the thousands of other Colonials, moved to Pecos and began helping the Republic to build a new life while his parents were off defending their lives.
As the Republic stabilized in it's condition, Kyle saw it fit to apply for the Military and accomplish his dream.
Relevant Experience: I was raised as an officer my entire life, I know how to use any type of Fighter or Bomber and have been trained under Colonial Military advanced flight protocols and directives. I'm also quite efficient at hand-to-hand combat as well as some mechanical expertise, specifically in ship maintenance.
Your reasons for applying to the Military: My family has served the Republic for countless generations, both in the early times of the Crayterian Police and near the end and the Exodus, as a part of the Military, and continued serving in Sirius as well. Just like any son, I would like to continue our family's legacy and continue to serve the Republic with my life. And I will crush any obstacle in my path to do just that.

1) How long have you been on Discovery? Early 2008.
2) What characters and ships have you had thus far? Impossible to count, pretty much had everything at one point or another.
3) How often do you normally play/come online for? Depends on my mood, can range anywhere from 10 minutes to 5 hours.
4) What is your Skype username? You already have it.
I will admit to being surprised to see that name come up here. We tend to forget there are more Westridges other than your parents, but I do remember his mention of a son. You have the characteristics of a military pilot and should cope rather well, therefore you are accepted as a Warrant Officer.
I suppose "those we left behind" can apply to some of those who survived too. Not that the Admiral could turn his back on us if he tried.
