Corsairs blowing up GMG bases in Okinawa: Don't really see a problem with that one either. It is at the edge of their ZoI, but still in it. And the GMG are Sair enemies.
I don´t see problem of Sair blowing the base of GMG in Okinawa too, but that Zoner one is exactly the case where some roleplay should be involved I think. Because exactly as you said, they are neutral. So there should be a reason to destroy Zoner base, not just "hey, a zoner base, let´s kill it!", that applies for the enemies like GMG. It can be just simple "hey, me and mi amigos capitanos saw your base on our turf, where is your tax to the Empire? Give us 100 million credits or we will turn your base into scrap!" but that is exactly that minimum RP that should happen in this case.

This. the problem is the ambiguity with PoBs currently. are they subject to the same 'RP before pew' rules.
Cannon, in the last thread, said they were but the rules havent been updated.
I'll fire off a discussion in admin central regarding this I guess. Since PoB's don't respect the "rp before firing" rules themselves (but simply shoot at anything red), it feels wrong to me to demand players to announce their intent to ice a base.

So maybe this could be solved by specific rule like "PoBs which are closer to jumpgates and jumpholes than 5 (or 10)K can be shot freely without any previous warning.

Or maybe just, "PoBs cannot be built within 10k of a Jumpgate or jumphole. Any PoBs that break this rule can be freely shot at, with no prior warning. If it survives, it will be subject to admin smiting"

It is not that simple, locking jumpgates/jumphole with PoB should be one of the options for their use. Despite it brings some problems and questions related to speed of building, survivability and other...but these things are quite offtopic to this thread.

Then you have to prove in your report that you were killed by intentional collision as there will be collision death message I assume. Good luck with that.

Locking JH/JGs with PoBs, unfortunately as shown by the ZA, can be abused. When you try to use it, and PoBs, to try and get your way, its not a good thing then especially the way bases are currently. when the system is refined, hopefully this wont be as much of a problem as hopefully balancing will be done to allow bases to be taken down without requiring som many ships that it crashes the server.
