And 2-3 players went inactive right after that. It's not good for the server.
I have a feeling that this group only loves trolling and being talked about, that is all. They do their lulz now with a better packing, but it is still the same poo.
So this is what you mean by "I just come here to play with friends now"
I'm just not gonna bother saying anything. Your e-peen is large enough. It's not in my personality to just ignore something so utterly retarded but...i'm trying, okay?

Just a few things to note:
The group is not an RP group. None of the ships are related to each other, they do not use tags and other. The group consists of 23 independent players with access to multiple capital ships, dedicated to weed out any and all undernourished bases of Disco.
We beleive that as it was mentioned in the POB introduction, bases are a group effort and are supposed to be heavily influenced by groups. In other words, while you can UPKEEP a base all by yourself, you cannot simply go around the fact that you will not be able to PROTECT the base by yourself. Want a base? Good, get a group.
...
So in essence you're imposing your personal opinion/s on other players through the medium of the server's roleplaying environment. Metagaming at its worst.
It is valid to assume that bases are currently designed to be more easily utilised by groups of players working together, rather than one person on their own, but there is no single correct way to operate a base, provided it is done within the bounds of the server rules and with plausible supporting roleplay.
23? I knew that numbers of ....... on disco is high. But 23 at same group? That speaks something to me now...
And yea. Existance on Bass hunters either complete retard, either too ooRP for RP server.
Kill base of newcomer, piss off newcomer, newcomer leaves disco. Good job harming server.
You guys could do nice siege of something big and create nice fight. Go siege Krupp depot, or Goldern Coin, or Puerto del Sol. Who cares if they level 4 and cant be destroyed? Why care for actual destruction of base? Care for fun you will get from the fight. Care for all those nice bluemessages. Hell, you might even actually destroy core4 a base if you 23.
But what do you do? Hunting unshielded bases of newbies and claim it was done to show people that PoBs are group effort. Same as going and kill ateists to show that God exists. Senseless actions for senseless goals. And they way you actually deal with that. Admins put yor ship in bastilia. You accepted that lesson? No. You said ''Who cares for those ships. We can always make new.'' Only for that senstence alone Id ban all your accounts if Id was admin.
And Im sure you wont bother to read or reply to my post with really sensible and mature words. I hope that at least someone from your 23 guys will read it and underrstand that this aint right and quit your group, like I quit CCCP| in my days.

It's a sad day for disco when Oorp dethrones Rp in this server. Don't be an instrument of that.
This server and mod started out as a regular, no-roleplay server, you know.

the fact you write semi-InRp troll messages to the base owners in the Comm channel. Seriously? Should you do that?
I don't know about you, but I'd appreciate it if I'm told who killed my base. It leaves room open for any easy revenge plots. I consider it polite of them to do so.
Don't forget that an aggressive roleplay character is still a roleplay character, not the actual personality of the poster. Those posts by captain_obvious aren't even nearly as terrible as the personalities I see most Reavers adopt, for example.
Feedback? Read the other thread. Lots of feedback there. And good job on getting that closed when someone finally brought forth some evidence of what your real intentions are.
I'm most shocked about the "23 members" part. Didn't think the server's troll population had grown so big. Not like the 15 "players" mentioned in the other thread's picture weren't way too many already, considering the low population. How does it feel, btw, to know your behaviour is the main reason why people leave and why no more people come here?
Feedback? All you want to see is other people being annoyed by you, the fruits of your behaviour. I don't know what your problem is, why you do this and why you enjoy making other peoples games miserable - I guess it's because you can do it without any real life consequences, heh? - but I guess you are successful at that. Which is quite a sad thing, when you think about it. Investing soooo much time into something like this, just so some people stop playing and do something more useful. Makes one really wonder if there's nothing more valuable for you to do? No? Heh.
Admins should've stepped in LONG ago and cleaned up the mess. Rules are nice and all, but some "players" know how to be annoying without necessarly breaking them, still doesn't mean they should be allowed to stay around forever. 0.0 should've been a rule to go by. Where's the "be nice to each other" part nowadays?
Why am I even writing this...it's just what you want anyway, to hear how much people hate you, since that's what you trolling is all about: annoying others who can't harm you.
Again, feedback? No RP, only intentions are to annoy others. Yes, bases dying, unsupplied bases being killed, is one thing, the problem is your behaviour about it. Making a "group" with no RP behind it, "consisting" of ships from factions from all over the place. Only to brag about ruining what other people build up in a rather tedious manor. Pretty much like the big useless bully that just destroyed the wonderfully build up sand castle a group of kids put a lot of time into. And why you do it? "Because you can"?! And because you obviously got nothing better to do, which is actually quite sad when you think about it, isn't it?
(07-24-2013, 09:39 AM)Swallow Wrote: How many people will stay here if the RP part would be gone?
I think plenty, actually. The more I look at it, the more this server and the Discovery mod in general is extremely PvP orientated with a simple sugarcoating of roleplay to make it attractive to different kinds of players as well. Those that play purely for talky-talky roleplay who avoid any form of combat like the plague should probably consider playing a different mod with Roleplay elements. The MASSIVE amount of time invested in balance should account for favour towards PvP.

I'm not actually aware of that. I was trying to make the point that the server endured a transition from regular to RP server, and nothing dictates that it can't transit back to a regular one.
