Oh please, Melbourne was pathetically easy to sneak by, I did it all the time, and same with that other base at Virginia entrance in Texas, all they did for me was signing the correct entrance to the minefield. Now the Golden Coin, THAT was a proper blockade.

True enough. can't aruge with your points because they are all true
Melbourne is easy to dodge, especaily when running artifacts with a BW transport. Golden coin disturbed alot of people, but if you id is neutral to them in nature, paying 70mill for six months isnt so bad. Dublin as far as Im concerned is already molly and the brets have better things to do with the gauls. Everything can be sorted via reasoning.
Blockade bases were perfectly balanced actually- kudos to AD for that. They were able to spice up the travel without totally destroying it.
Such things promote better learning of your ship and proper using of the tools provided- game mechanics and equipment. Actually we need a lot more of those because space is dangerous.
I find funny how new and unexperienced players complain about POB blockades without the need to deal with TCD NPCs or Gallic TCD / limitless energy SNAC bombers.Once upon a time Sirius used to be dangerous place not the current kinder-garden and we do need some this things back in order to pump more adrenaline in your brains while you move from point A to point B with your haulers.
