Yep. Storyline has Gallia as the big old mean steamroller that is invading hapless other smaller nations, who are banding together to counter them.
Unfortunately, the sentiment is anti-gallic on the server, so few people make GRN ships. Giving them more powerful guns would just create bias whining on the part of their enemies, so we'll try and keep things balanced shipwise and let the players sort out the rest. Maybe Spazzy will make a GRN faction some day.
[Edit] What do you propose to solve this anyway? Have the Kusari Republic form a full alliance with Gallia and open up a second front on Liberty from the north?

well..........could be interesting...
Well i think every faction and HOUSE should at least have 1 enemy. Just to have some opponents. Kusari has none atm, but as they are allied with gallia wouldn't it make sense that liberty would be more cautious towards the north front as who knows the kusarians might attack em? I would say let kusari attack liberty. It might give some nice fights into some nice systems.

Like the Obstinate performs against a hatchet, LABC or Bretonian dessie?

Personally, I'm a fan of Zelot's suggestion. It would certainly make Kusari more interesting to me than it is today.
(09-25-2013, 09:13 PM)Zelot Wrote: The idea of almost a three way civil war seems a bit more likely, with the Dragons being able to take Honshu and controlling Chugoku and maybe something else out there, while the Exiles return and take control of Kyushu and Hokkido, and the current government holds onto New Tokyo and Shikoku. The Exiles with the support of Samura try and stop the Gallic trade coming from the Taus (or maybe a new route through a realigned Rishi as suggested in the other thread) creating problems for the central government backed by Kishiro, while the Dragons go after the shipping and what not coming in from Rhienland to create more dependence on the GMG for supplies for the central government. Both of these put pressure on the government, while at the same time both of those forces are fighting each other for more power and control, as well as the government fighting both of those groups to reestablish it's authority.
It would sort of break down like this.
Exiles, FA, Samura - Kyushu and Hokkido
KNF, KSP, Kishiro - New Tokyo and Shikoku
BD, GC, GMG - Chugoku, Honshu and Okinawa
The Hogosha would likely try and play all sides toward the middle, using the opportunity to make friends with as many of those groups as possible, probably more the government and the Exiles, less with the Dragons, and to expand their smuggling operations and business in the chaos.
The bases from Tau42 could be moved into Kyushu as planned, the Samura bases in New Tokyo and SHikoku could be changed to Kishro control, the Samura and Kishiro bases in Honshu could be given over to Dragon and GMG control, and the Kishiro base in Tau29 could be given over to Samura control. Each group would have a shipyard, industrial stations and a planet that they control, the Hogosha would maintain Tottori and their bases in all three places. Tau 42 gets removed completely, and probably so should the BD guard system, while the GC guard system connection gets removed from Hokkido and moved to Honshu or Chugoku.
This would leave each of the three groups with not enough strength to push to other two out, nor with enough power to back down from the fight and assure themselves power.
Also as Joe pointed out to us, that the only thing a Kusari hates more than other Kusari are outsiders in Kusari, which would be a real deterant to any other house thinking about coming into Kusari to take over as all three sides would likely attack them, forming a formidable yet non-unified force to protect Kusari from foreign invasion.

They're FRENCH!!! I guess it comes from history that people are declined to rather join the other side. Or it's just that the system names are hard to pronounce for everyone who doesn't speak french. Hurr...Maybe both? (Might like French girls though...now that we're offtopic already...)
Or maybe the problem is, that the story doesn't make too much sense and that GB and Cruiser have some balance issues? Or it's just that people prefer vanilla things. There could be a lot of reasons.
ANYWAY...

I think I suggested such before. Since I suggest a lot of things all the time, I guess I can say that without fear of lying.
So, yeah, the "Kusarian Vasall State" attacking Liberty from the North might be quite interesting, but I think the GRN rather needs someone to fight at their sides on their main front instead of "just another front". Hm...Would it make sense for Kusari to move ships down to Leeds? I don't really think so.
There's no-one else who'd fight with the GRN on the main front around Leeds, Magellan and Bretonia...is there?
Hi guys, sorry for wasting your time, but please read this !
So,i will tell you about the Story of the 4.87 Mod,i think that the war between Gallia and Bretonia+ Liberty is a little unfair.
Every factions got allies in their wars before,Gallia don't have one!
Ok so let me get this straight your complaining because: first Gallia was closed to Sirius so naturally no allies, second it then basically just starts a war with nearly all of Sirius. Now your complaining they have no allies, well who do you want to ally with, the Nomads?
Plus I don't know a war that's been fair to be honest.

I can think of a faction who has a particular hatred for non-Libertonians...but...um...what about non-Sirians?
Eh...I think you should read up on those people's RP, they are definatly not going to join up with Gallia, not that their numbers would make a major difference.
Another faction with caps would be needed on the GRN side, maybe that'd give some people reason to join their side, even if they don't like the GRN ships. Hm...
I'd like Kusari being there at the main front, but I don't see a way for it to make much sense.

I think if we make Gallia a bit more not out of the way then it would attract a bit more attention... or something special.
IMO they are just in a corner on Sirus and ... yea me lazy.
