Old Freelancer IDs

Could someone could restore old Freelancer ID - such
Smugler ID / Independent Trader ID ?

As far I understand they were disabled because someone
was lazy - and it was too much trouble to change 4-5 IDs instead 1...

Those ID's were used to RP - and I ask for reinstatement.
Perfect solution IMHO would be a restore all those IDs
with their names.

It doesnt matter.
IDs do not exist ingame. I was tired of being scanned and someone saying...smuggler even though I was running empty. If you want to give people ingame more information about your ship...that is what /set info is for.

I dig your Graphix work dude, respects on that.

I dont think the decision to reduce it was made out of being lazy Bro, but maybe to stream down the work load some, who knows, once all the bugs are kicked out of the new update and its stable, it might be possible to get them back..

I second oZone. They don't exist in-RP; adding IDs with the same functionality and different icon just creates a new maintenance nightmare.

Not sure the Old ID's will make a diff, but I am totally against ID's not being inRP. If you're ID's as a smuggler or pirate, that's what you are, cuz that's what you can do. Go ahead, fly that pirate ID with IMG or Zoner IFF, apparently your ID is only for you to know so you can go ahead and mine anywhere you like in that pirate ID's freighter. Oh wait, if IMG came across an IMG IFF'd ship running a pirate ID in on of their fields, they'd STOP and say hey you can't mine here. Try telling them to ignore the ID then. That pirate will go down screaming 'but what about my IFF???'

exactly - ID stays who You are also what You can or cannot do,
and IMHO it was huge mistake that the Civilian, Trader or Smugler ID was gone...
a specially since they all were replaced by Freelancer one...

Civilian - who want ony stay in border of house he/she lives - is not a merc/freelancer
he is just simple guy who want stay away from the trouble...

Independent Trader - is someone who wokrs on his own, but do not work as Merc... but as trader...

Smugler - is similar to trader, but besides lawful or semi lawful orders take also illegal ones...

The odd thing that eg. Miner ID were not replaced by Freelancer one...
why? Just like there is Miner ID - there is need for Trader, Smugler, Civilian
(could be similar to Recruit but take part of RP)

civilian id doesnt support rp. i mean , most factions are either having their own id , or use freelancer or miner ids, so why an extra id in the game?

for pirates, theres either their own id or the criminal and terrorist ids. do we need this one?

trader id is also useless, coz most ids , including freelancer id , dont forbid trade

even smugglers come categorized as quasi lawful traders , so above point applies.

c'mon, why so much fuss about ids?

Freelancer ID - also do not have any line with forbid mining - yet Miner ID were not replaced by Freelancer one...
You ask why I'm focused so much about ID's it that because ID stays what you can or cannot do,
and I do not want to be limited to only freelancer since there is so much posibilities...

Freelancer mostly reminds me of a Merc - guy who You could hire as escort or for blow something...
since Civilian =/= Freelancer
Indy.Trader =/= Civilian neither Merc
Smuggler =/= Civilian neither Freelancer

Yet they all are forced using Freelancer ID - even if they are not 'Freelancers'

edit. the same goes for mentioned Slaver ID
