Ok is it me or is everyone forgeting the new rules which in sure clearly states that the ID is NON-RP it has no effect inrp dosnt exist isnt there its just a little sign that says what the player is allowed to do by server rules the only thing that maters inRP is the IFF so the pirate with a freelancer IFF is out of his bounds as hes not supposed to have it as i last checked pirates are not allowed an iff so lets think of it this way u had a freelancer that openly engaged u for no reason really thats 1 rule broken and also not using correct iff+id combo which probily is another rule broken should i go on explaining more for u guys ?

That is not correct. Especially on broken rules for using wrong IFF+ID combination. Pirates are bound to use Freelancer IFF since there is no generic unlawful IFF out there. This is agreed over developers and admins. Yes, ID does not exist in RP, it's OORP identification what is player's business is. So in situation when you meet Freelancer IFFed but Pirate IDed player you have to assume he's "Freelancer" until he shows the signs of unlawful activity. It was reflected in many guides and manuals in the past - no idea how it's played out at the moment.

That makes more sense thank u wasnt so sure on the pirate id+freelancer iff but its good to know which is probily better than getting pirated by same person twice within 1 minute making a second demand after finishing first demand which i was free to go but he decided to make a second demand which i believe is not allowed since a pirate can make 1 demand per ship or somthing they can make multiple demads in their one demand but when u say they free to go u cant demand more lol unless that is in the rules would be helpful to know

Well, according to the current ruleset we have the following:
1. Player on pirate character can pirate you no matter what is your ship or ID except if you're of the same ID as he is - but that do not apply to the generic Pirate ID - generic pirate IDed characters can pirate each others since it's not a faction ID.
2. Rules are NOT stating that Pirate can't destroy a trading vessel AFTER he get's the money. Rules also do NOT state how many demands can pirate make to one player. Also, Rules do NOT regulate the situation where you're getting pirated for multiple times by the same player logging his other pirate characters on your way.
3. There is no more rule 0.0 which was about fair play, however it was not working since administration had no intention on keeping the civil atmosphere on the server. That rule was removed eventually.
So in dry result:
You can be pirated for as many times as pirate please and then destroyed and laughed at - this will be totally inside the rules since there is no regulations towards this.
This applies to any situation. For example you can be stalked around the server by the group of players using various IDs and Ships to annoy you and to force you to quit the game. There is no rules that prohibits the gay behavior.
Wait I was not correct on one point - Pirate can Pirate ANYONE including people from his own faction. Maximum he can be subjected for official faction rule #5 application.
Another addition. While server rules might not being able to limit pirates in their activities the ID, sometimes, do put some limitations. It's usually just saying that you can not attack certain faction or group. Example will be the Bretonia Privateers that can pirate but with some exceptions (Bretonia corporations for example). In other IDs it's usually just mentioned that the user of this ID "Can Pirate".

Thats damn brutal if u ask me
Imagine a new player he just got a transport hes happy he makes a few runs then gets pirated so he pays up as a smart idea pirate says he can go than pirate cds him again and asks for him to drop his cargo new player is like the hell with this i gave u 3m already he trys escaping and pirate keeps cding so new player turns the guns on the pirate bomber and trys to kill it the new player dies after maybe 3 minutes and is pissed at the outragesness he desides to leave or desides to try again same thing happens a situation like that. So what does the new player do ? Either asks for help, keeps playing, or leaves. Now if we get about 20 new players they all get in same situation 10 will probily leave, 5 will probily keep trying cause its a challange and 5 smart players will ask for help.
Thats how that would probily most likly play out and its gully when we lose 50% of new player due to small stuff like that (if we do lose 50% of new players idonno i dont count or do a survay) but the point is that just the same as trolling/lolwuting
