The Druidship is the collection of Gaia fanatics that have been 'blessed' by Gaia herself. They are extremists to her cause, lashing out at Gaia Violators through acts of terrorism, murder and even assassinations. The Druidship is quite xenophobic and disregards non-Gaians as foolish or blind. The ring of Druids praise Gaia in everything they do.
|~~Lore~~|
The Druidship began as a group of Cambridge Researchers located on Planet Gaia in 798 A.S. Within the group of estatic scientists was a single infiltrator named Riley Henderson who was a fanatic who opposed all forms of harming Gaia, a Gaian, if you must. Riley's objective was to disintegrate the local operations then be extracted from the situation.
The operation went smoothly, the scientists were killed by a quick shot to the vital organs and Riley began scouring the encampment for useful information that was relevant to the Gaian cause. Upon digging his way through piles of papers, he heard sounds around the camp. He jumped to his feet, expecting a survivor to be screeching through the holes in his lungs. When he bounded around the corner, it wasn't a human he'd found but a blue creature of Gaia. The creature made its odd sound again and Riley heard a heavenly voice.
It was Gaia. She was thanking him. Then gave him orders, strange orders about defending her from violators. Riley immediately began his missions for her.
He pillaged tradelanes, hunted asteroid fields and bombed transports in the name of Gaia. After dozens of people dead, hundreds of ores looted and even more credits given to the Gaian cause, Gaia spoke again, but this time with a different job. He was to take those who could hear her and put them into the 'Grand Plan'.
He rounded the people in hordes of desperate Gaians and brought them as close as he could to Gaia. The ones who heard her were accepted into the 'Druidship', the group of zealots that obeyed Gaia's voice. This group only ever grew to a small ring of 6 people. Since then, this Druidship was used to follow the direct orders of Gaia, mainly the Grand Plan of terrorism, murder and assassinating her violaters.
The Druids:
These are the listeners of Gaia. They are calm, controlled and usually never seen out of Islay Base, which is where they spend their lives, listening for Gaia's voice and whether there are distortions that could mean that she is crying. It is their job to pass on her word. Initiates to this group are known as 'Lessers' and must earn their place in Gaia's eyes.
The Carnyx Blades:
These are the hearty, ruthless soldiers of the Druidship that take out the acts of terrorism that the Druids order. They are well equipped, vicious and loud. They scream Gaia's name as they charge into battle, or can be seen more subtly by planting a trick under the violator's noses. These men and women are extremely valuable to Gaia and will be congratulated with every violator killed.
|~~Final Notes~~|
-If interest is gained, I will open up the recruitment, if not, I'll just let the concept die.
-Before you ask, yes this is inspired by the recent uprising of the Gaian factions and I plan on working with them if this works out.
-The first goal of this faction (bound to change) is to create Lore for Gaia. This means we give the her creation a meaning, animals names and perhaps link it with recent events in Sirius.
-Finally, feedback is helpful! This is also a work in progress, so now's the time to drop a comment!
Change name. Druids were not murderous fanatics, and associating such name to your faction concept is kinda an insult to that religion (which I may remind you, is still followed by a lot of people).
This is really good to see. Gaians could really, really do with more in-game presence these days. All I ever see these days is the occasional indie Roc or something. I look forward to seeing you lot in space.

Yes, World of Warcraft also had major controversy from real-life practitioners of druidism over the Druid class's depiction as a bunch of violent, mass-murdering shapeshifters.
Oh, wait, no it didn't, and this is one of the most ridiculous objections to anything that I've seen posted on this forums to date.
All I'0m saying is that the name doesn't represent the faction AT ALL. Using the name of a peaceful nature-worshipping priesthood to define a band of crazed terrorists makes absolutely NO SENSE.
Suggested names:
-GAESATI: these are the true celtic crazed warriors, they charged in battle almost naked, the romans feared their wrath (they called their condition "furor celtico")
-CARNYX: the celtic battlehorns, they were sounded before every charge; I think this name would be pretty cool.
