"Third, not allowing an already defeated RM to come back home. He even went out of his way to avoid crossing the group (Frankfurt to Hamburg to New Berlin) and still it wasn't enough."
This was my bad. I guess I got a little overeager. My apologies to the RM.
Wasn't gloating, just said we gave you a good time. Sorry for being a little excited about driving one of you lot off. When I got the "type kill" was when I was trying to RP while you were thrust running, and by the time I had finished, you were already chunking away at my hull. By the time I turned around to fire, I got crushed by the missile.
As for the set up, it was my character that wasn't set up yet. Didn't think it was a full day cease fire, and that you guys would mind. It's not like you really "let us" get away. I was 13k out, and it would've been a steep fight for the lot of you in our guard system.
As for a "fair fight," Var just tagged along. We didn't ask him to come, but I won't deny that we had a significant advantage by having the cruiser. Also consider that I had a Rheinland Battleship and two Cruiser shooting at me (not to mention the hoarde of fighters, makes it difficult to slide while I'm being shot by NPCs).
I understand our leader had made some sort of agreement about a week of laying low, but he approved this. I just assumed it was a rather informal agreement. We're mostly set up now, and I would assume that any set up privileges should be on a case-by-case basis from now on.
My apologies if I offended you, wasn't my intention. I was just excited about running off some [RM], being the good fighters that you lot are. As for the faction, most of us have gamed together before, and they're all here by my suggestion. I'm trying to help everyone get accustomed to the rules and such.
On that note, I don't think that F1 you saw was really an F1. Idun has connection issues quite often, and that could have been the case.
Finally, regarding the Bundy who engaged you with the civilian ID: None of us were aware of that, and he planet dived as soon as you asked him to disengage. Don't play us out to look bad either. :-P
Other than that, it was a great fight. You boys are good competition. I hope you can keep me busy, just like I plan on keeping you. :P
Yes, the agreement is over with and I think we've been a smashing success at giving the RM a proper brawl. I set the deadline for wensday at the farthest date to end it but we beat that margin by 3 days.
I would like to thank the RM for giving us the time we needed to set up, wouldn't of helped if you caught us in skimitars and loki's with our pants down. :$
"Blood Dragons are NOT allied with the Bundschuh, so a Blood Dragon Gunboat in your attack force in Hamburg/New Berlin is a little ooRP." ... "Nor are we hostile to them." ... so they have no reason to be in Hamburg or New Berlin.
Sabas, that's the point. We did not now that this agreement was over. We were activly ignoring you, still believing that you need time. Would it have been to difficult to just send us a message like: "We are ready setting up and don't need more time, so we can see the agreement as over."
But instead of doing so, you made an supriseattack, with a much superior force, after most of the RM ships had left and without even sound a warning or RP message in system chat. I understand that sometimes the element of suprise is needed, for example when you are engaging a much larger force, but in that situation, you allready outnumbered us by far. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't bother me that I lost. In fact, I only play Freelancer for two weeks now, it is only natural that I cannot win every fight or even the most fights. I am somewhat used to lose dogfights :D
To make it short, the only thing that bothers me, or us really is, that you used the fact, that we still believed this agreement was active and needed and did not pay attention to your whereabouts in RP. I mean, I actually noticed the Bundschuhs entering New Berlin, but I still ignored them, thinking they were doing a mission. A simple OORP message about the end of the OORP agreement would have changed the situation and particulary our disappointment.
RM get more then their fair share of combat. We've got Corsairs (Both official and the far more numerous independents) from Sigma 13 almost constantly, the Hessians (Again, official and non) from Dresden, the official Unioners have left, so that's a bit of a break (Nothing against 'em, just too many other hostiles), then there's the quite possible war with Liberty...
I'm not against a Bundschuh faction, despite the fact that I think the Bundschuh wouldn't be around anymore (Come on, you can -see- the main base from the trade-lanes!), what I'm against is yet another force fighting the RM. Before you know it, we'll just get buried under three or four factions with 5 members in each, about 15 different independants, and suddenly New Berlin is just constantly under siege from Hessians, Unioners, Corsairs, Bundschuh, Blood Dragons, Outcasts, Mollys, Junkers, Zoners, and then the Liberty Navy shows up and wins the war because the pirates decide that they dislike the RM more then they dislike the Liberty guys.
This is the real true story of rock and roll; it was not about anything more then, how to live your life, as a gangster, in sartorial splendor, and turning the world into a place where normality would never return again...- Malcolm McLaren
I would just like to announce to all who care that Konstantin of the Bundschuh will pledge allegiance to the Rheinland government should any foreign military powers attacked to take her. Better to fight the enemy that you know than that you don't know.

"Actively ignoring you"
Anyway... now it's ok for me to swing my Wrath to Bruchsal and pwn all BU that I see around?
Just wanted to know...because just as Kane said... the Bunschuh have one big problem... the base can be seen from the trade lanes... and it's like 30s to get there or from there... and... BU has not so many places to go... Luneburgh (kind of boring).. or S13.. which is usually full of people more than happy to shoot you.
So maybe it will be nice to come to some sort of OORPagreement as far as BU/RM goes... but if you don't mind being annihilated then it's your choice.
