Men,
As I am recovering from my mild concussion at Bryerly Community Hospital, I have pondered over the events that went on today. Frankly, I cannot fathom what has happened. As Mr. Cooper has so well covered the necessary details, I'll be quick. Excellent job on that report, Mr. Cooper.
The BAF is keeping the HMS Suffolk incident under wraps. Frankly, I've no idea why a Battleship would be so undermanned. Aside from the few engineers that I saw, there was no one! The Bar was completely empty as well...
On that note, who would steal my Hussar?
The forensics team has reported that they have no idea what caused Commissoner Carlyle's death. They are completely baffled, especially by the fact that there seemed to be no wounds what so ever on the man. In addition, Carlyle seemed to have died peacefully.
The CRI also has no clue regarding the artifact that they found next to Carlyle, though I do have a photo of it...
Somehow the events today seem interconnected...
A surprise Hacker raid...the death of a Commissioner...and my Hussar being stolen, but someone...or something...
Is the death of the Commissioner related to my Hussar?
What happened in that hospital?
What happened to that doctor?
I guess I need to sleep on it. When I get back from the hospital on Thursday, I'm commencing a full investigation!

Gentlemen,
Today, on my patrol through Leeds, I encountered the Molly .:UoG:.C*Nitro, who was holding several pilots of the BPA, the BAF and some civilian pilots hostage. He seemed to have ambushed a convoy and captured the pilots and was now threatening to kill them, if I don't comply to his demands. I classified the situation as most dangerous and decided not to endanger the lives of our fellow countrymen more than necessary. So I decided to negotiate their release.
After some negotiation, we agreed on a prisoner exchange: 40 Molly prisoners should be released from the BPA Newgate prison and handed over in exchange for all hostages.
When I explained this severe situation to the prison director of Newgate, he agreed with my decision and arranged the release of 40 Molly prisoners. With 40 prison pods in my cargo hold, I headed to the meeting place, where the tranfer was arranged.
The exchange took place without any trouble, and the Molly retreated with the prisoners to Arranmore base.
I brought all hostages to planet Leeds, where they are under medical treatment now.
But the Raven, sitting lonely on that placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered; not a feather then he fluttered--
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "Other friends have flown before--
On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before."
<blockquote>Then the bird said, "Nevermore."</blockquote>

Mr. Vimes,
It is obvious that you have deserved your position here as Sergeant.
That was brilliantly handled. I have heard word from several of the prisoners as well as their family members, and they tell me that had it not bee for your actions, their beloved would not be alive.
You've made the BPA proud, Mr. Vimes! We'll have a good round of tea over at Christy's!

"This is Cheshire, BHG member, i happened to scan two transports when i passed cambridge planet. - i caught up corsair IFFs from both of those vessels - and upon a close range scan, it was revealed that they carried Artifacts and in one case, even non secured nomad samples.
both transports were able to fool the docking crews, or had a useful contact there. - whatever, they both managed to pass the local authorities and dock with the planet ( and the CRI ).
since i was not authorized to stop them, i informed them that they were violating bretonian law. at that point i was told that i was no police and should mind my own business.
here is the evidence of both vessels cargoholds and names.
afterwards, i lost track of both transports on the planet, - and shortly after, a small fleet of corsairs arrived and opened fire on me, - two gunboats and one praetorian, i believe. after we exchanged a few shots, i retreated, cause i was not up to risk ship and life for that case. - they were able to fool the bretonian armed forces though, - as they used one of the battleship groups as cover from the torpedos fired upon them.
thank you for your attention and have a good day.
postscript: i was kindly payed for this voluntary duty allready by a bretonian officer"

Men,
These corsairs must be stopped.
Just when we thought that the Outcasts had the advantage of the Hacker's computer prowess, it seems like the Corsairs are a match for the best programmers in Bretonia.
These Corsairs must have managed to somehow hacked their IFFs so that they could transport these artifacts to Bretonia.
A big thanks to the BHG for their fast acting assistance. I am also very impressed by your conduct, Chesire. You are living proof that the Bounty Hunters have been wronged in certain places.
Now, I we received information today about a certain suspect in the Bretonia area recently...His name is Humphrey Burlington. A Molly, he was present outside both Planet New London shortly before Commissioner Carlyle's death and the Suffolk before my ship was hijacked. We are still hot on his trail.
"today, i made a patrol run through bretonia, and i must say .. i am shocked. had i known that bretonia suffers that much from pirates, i would have moved long before. - i wittnessed another corsair attack on cambridge aswell as the BAF.
a corsair dreadnaught "metalhead" harrassed bretonian forces aswell as guildmembers, when he entered cambridge orbit, he was attacked by a BAF battleship and two cruisers immedietly. - those had no chance against the superior firepower of the dreadnaught, even when one more battlegroup joined in.
hundreds of crewmembers found their chilly death in space today, the survivers of the fusion detonations were tracktored in and will most certainly suffer even more.
since i was alone at that time, i did not engage - especially not without explicit contract to engage those elements.
i asked this corsair about the reasons why one of the most precious ships of the corsairs would venture that far from gamma - and i was told that he "was lost and couldn t find his home anymore". if he had been an outcast, i would have suspected some late desease from breathing the mask too much, but this guy was a corsair - most certainly the corsairs are curious about where one of their battleships went.

Gentlemen,
when I woke up today on Leeds, I first had my casual breakfast and a little chatter on the holo net with Ms Noonan (//see last post in order to know who she is). As I went to the Leeds Police Department in order to check the news, an alert came in: pirates sighted near the Magellan jump hole!
I rushed to my Hussar, strapped and launched. When I left the planetary orbit, I heard the pirat, codenamed Kassad, threatening a Zoner to pay him a large sum of credits. I energized my cruise engines and, on my way to the scene, was joined by Mr Aster of the QCR in his Hussar.
The suspect proved to be a Lane Hacker in a Sabre and, as he saw us, he engaged.
Unfortunately, we had been followed! After a short time, two Outcast Sabres, DJ_Swaf and Scam engaged us from behind!
Luckily, the tables turned yet again when we were joined by Sir-John, an independent soldier of the BAF and Constable Paddock. Together, Paddock and I ripped of the hull of the Kassad, but unfortunately he got away to Magellan.
We then concentrated on the two remaining enemies and earned a glorious victory!
Their pods were tractored in and will be taken to Newgate with the next prisoner transport.
Now, where is that cup of tea Ms Noonan just brought me...
Due to the inactivity of several new recruits, I have decided on a new policy.
All new recruits will be under a Evaluation Period after they join. After this short period of time, they will be given Mark 8 Armor and Nuclear Mines. Until then, they will rely on standard equipment and regular mines.

Re: Transportation of certain goods in Bretonian space
Noodly Greetings!
I have had a brief exchange with Sgt Cooper, and he directed me here. The matter at hand is the specific laws that direct how certain goods may be transported through Bretonian space. According to 'Sirius law for Dummies' (see reference; first page) Engine Components as well as Deutrium is considered war material and may not be brought from or through Bretonian space.
According to the response I got from Sgt Cooper, this is probably wrong on the count of Engine Components, and only export through Bretonian space to Tau systems or Kusari controlled space is controlled.
That leaves the matter of Deutrium, however. I have a long-standing agreement with the fellas at Ames Research station, and supply them with top-quality Deutrium for their firework competitions (or whatever it is they do. It sure is a lightshow!). The shortest route from Gran Canaria to Ames Research Station goes through Bretonian space, so now I wonder if such transports will be forbidden by Bretonian authorities, even though this is an internal Zoner transaction, which merely happens fnord to pass through Bretonian borders. I would be willing to file for a license if you feel that registration is necessary, as well as pre-file flight plans to BPA when making the Canaria-Ames Station run.
As to my status, as inquired by Sgt Cooper, I am an independent Zoner trader, and a full member of the Zoner Council.
May you be protected from the Purple Oyster,
Sebastian Wrath [font=Courier New]

Dear Sirs,
At the direction of Sgt. Cooper, I am presently flying a Hussar with lower-class weaspons, taking on BPA missions myself until my reputation allows me to purchase a Bretonian police ID. I appreciate your patience in this matter, as I am most earnest about serving and more than anxious to officially come on board.
Certain circumstances restrict my flying time, but I am endeavoring to achieve full status as a BPA constable as soon as possible.
Thank you again for acceptance into the force, and I will join your ranks as soon as I can.
