Okay.
Check this out.

As some of you know, I have two jobs- one is sales and logistics manager at a stainless steel and aluminium distribution company and I also am the owner of a firefighting equipment maintenance service and shop. The rage is about something that happened today on the later.

Today is a slow day and a client brings me a simple 6kg fire extinguisher for checkup. Normally, this would cost around 3.50 for a checkup, but these retards actually tried to do it themselves. They tried unscrewing the pressure gauge in order to manually check the pressure inside via a car-tire-pressure-checker...thing...which is retarded, because a car tire has a pressure of 27-30 PSI, while a fire extinguisher has an average of 300.

And it is -20c outside.
Guess what happened.

The top one is a replacement.

Funnily enough, the fire dpt brought it in. Apparently some client went to them for a checkup and, since the fire dept here does not have anyone with the needed certificate or training to handle these, they usually bring them to me. And apparently, these morons wanted to do it themselves to get a couple of bucks for beer or something.

Good for them that the thing broke off, because if they had tried to use the car tire pressure checker thing, the hospital would be busy digging out the shrapnel from their oblivious retard faces by now.

/rant.

Oh, and now instead of 3$, they are paying me 10$. 8 for the replacement of the whole mechanism, because I can't be bothered trying to get the broken part out of it and another 2$ because I feel like it.

Share your own work rants.

[workrant]

retarded people on the phone

[/workrant]

It was short - but it's day to day idiocy.

Oh, just one more from recent.

So I had to fly on conference to another city not long ago (fall of November). I had to get on plane, fly to moscow then get on another plane and fly down to the desired place. I was arriving at evening so I decided to find a room in local hotel for a night.

Damn, this was retarded. I won't mention names here. I'm just going to say that the hotel I happened to choose was a part of some international hotel unity so I didn't suspected anything at start.

But then, loool.

First I decided to send them a mail asking about their rooms and prices. It was 2 weeks before actual arrival. The mail was silent for a week so I decided to dial them.

First time was ok. I spoke to someperson there and we concluded that I'll send them the list of what I need and they'll respond with the bill for my company to pay.

So another week passed with nothing and I'm dialing again. Our company phones are recorded and the automatic voice message notifies the person on another end about that at the start of conversation before I can speak.

So I'm dialing and someone picks up the damn phone there, listen to the notification and drops the line. I was like, wut.

Then called for like 4 more times with same result - someone was listening to the automatic message and dropping the line. In the end I sent them a couple of rants via mail with some open swears in the last one and, wow, they decided to dial me themselves. So they said they had technical difficulties, yea, faggots. So got a bill in the end.

Flew there, slept a night and flew away. But it's not the end.

Now few weeks have passed since then I still trying to the closing accounting documentation from them for our accounting officer.

I swear, I'll never fucking use they fucking "service" ever again, I'd better live on damn street or just get in a bar for a night if they'll be the last hotel on the earth.

RANT

P.S. Also they said they have wi-fi. So it was true, but to connect I had to stand in the corridor with my notebook because I couldn't connect while inside the room.

They built the road up to this rig pad too steep and didn't put the proper sized gravel on it, or anywhere near enough gravel anyway. End result is vehicles not being able to make it up. And THEN I hit a deer my second day out here, so I've been without my car for nearly two weeks. Thankfully it will be over today sometime and then I can finally go home.

Nothing's finer than an IP phone that doesn't actually answer half the time when you lift the receiver. Oh, and the "answer" button only works if you've connected a bluetooth headset.

Retired, permanently.

Real men have diving tanks with over 200 bar (yes bar, because psi is cruel), so whats the point?
