Removing the tractorbeam effect clientside

Until the infinate-tractorbeam is fixed, every time someone tractors some guy's remains, a fight turns into a lagfest, so you have to break off your engagement and look around in order to CD the pile. Any way we can simply disable the effect until it is fixed?

better than that deff should fix it -.- if it realy lags than its a gamebreaking bug and must be fixed

When that happens, it's usually because I've hit 'tractor all'. In that case, hitting 'tractor target' with no target selected stops it.

Edit: I guess the conclusion is that "tractor target" with no target selected stops the tractor.

Press shift+b and the tractor turns off.

it does cause lag like crazy, and yeah you can either try to fly out of range of the stuff or shoot it (but then you don't get the stuff). fixing this should be one of the top priorities atm, its just been going on now since like september.

to do that they would have to put missiles back as they were.

well, they wouldnt HAVE to, but the tractor beam was broken as far as im aware to stop people bypassing the missile limit by picking them up from space.
