Hey, Mac Taylor again. Yesterday's convoy to report.
I was in Freistad, and received a call about a mining op in Dublin, so I lauched and went there. After our transports were all filled we left via Edingburg to the Taus. Here we are at Kyushu
The Falling Teardrop had some systems malfuntions. So Sir Lagsalot led the convoy up to Neo Tokyo, while I stayed behind to help in case any hostile appeared. Soon Sir Lagsalot was back, the Teardrop problems were fixed, at least for the moment, so we continued to deliver our Gold Ore to Neo Tokyo. Here we are returning to Tau 29.
That's it. Mac Taylor, out....

Today I was doing a supply run for Falster Station, and when I was passing by Aland Shipyards, this Artificial Inteligence Cruiser was standing beside the station.
It showed itself friendly towards me, and initiated a brief conversation. While at it, I took a quick scan of the vessel:
It claimed to be on some orders to patrol the system and defend lawful traders against pirates. I didnt exactly understood who it was that programed the ship with these orders, but I will attach next a transcript of the communication logs. It appeared a little curious, at first, then eager to explain what it was and what was its mission...

A couple days ago I was checking on the progress of the RM's siege on that base near the fields, when this ship called Love.Joy showed up, broadcasting a Zoner IFF. He trew a few insults on the Rheinlanders and cruised away. Very strange for a zoner. I followed and scanned his ship to find out he was carrying almost 500 slaves in his Pelican. When he realised I was after him he wanted to 'tax' me. I said that he needed to let those people off his ship in Freistad, and he then opened fire on me. I was not able to hit him much in that asteroid field, so I went back to Freistad while he fled to the Omega 5 jumphole. Here are the scanner data:
He tried again yesterday, camping the lanes near Freeport One. He was not successful, as you will see next, but even so I'm sure he will be back. Should be put in the list of 'known offenders' or something...
Convoy Report
Well then, yesterday we did a run with Silver ore from Falster to Narita. Here we are gathering the convoy together in front of the base:
While waiting for the last transport, we detected that Love.Joy ship again, trying to tax an IMG indie transport this time. We moved our battletransports to defend the poor fella, and later Mr. Lister joined us in his bomber. That is a colective kill right? I don't have the guncam shot of it, but its in the logs, and Mr. Lister shall include it soon in his next report. Anyway, here are the comms transcript:
Code:

[02.01.2014 20:41:56] IMG|Raymon.Lister: We got this.
[02.01.2014 20:42:15] BAF|Lt.Cdr.H.Pearson.: Are you sure? I could lend a hand

[02.01.2014 20:44:56] IMG|Mat.Evanz: probably a few scratches but nothing too bad...
After that, we went in our way to Kusari via Rheinland. In Neu Berlin, a couple of Vagrant Raiders ships were camping the lane. A Raven's Talon class Very Heavy Fighter and a Waran class Heavy Bomber. They said they wanted to 'have a chat' with the ALG tranport that was with us. We made clear that it was part of our convoy, and the Raiders, not wanting a fight, agreed to let us all go on our way. I'm including an excerpt of the conversation also:
Code:
[02.01.2014 20:59:41] VR-Persia.de.Shahrizai: What a merry company here
[02.01.2014 20:59:45] IMG|Piper.Maru[R]: Greetings, friends
[02.01.2014 21:00:00] IMG|Mat.Evanz: greetings
[02.01.2014 21:00:01] VR-Persia.de.Shahrizai: IMG, you can go. ALG, please stay with us a bit.
[02.01.2014 21:00:23] IMG|Redstone-4: What's the problem with ALG ?
[02.01.2014 21:00:29] IMG|Redstone-4: Sorry, but he's part of our convoy.
[02.01.2014 21:00:40] VR-Persia.de.Shahrizai: Ah... this complicates things.
[02.01.2014 21:00:53] VR-Paddy.Hughs: Indeed
[02.01.2014 21:01:12] IMG|Mat.Evanz: Not really. He's with us, so how is that a problem?
[02.01.2014 21:01:28] VR-Persia.de.Shahrizai: Well... we don't have any issues with IMG, and it's not that we're gonna harm anyone.
[02.01.2014 21:01:44] IMG|Frank.Rogers[R]: Frank: *grins*
[02.01.2014 21:01:48] IMG|Redstone-4: Not harm anyone ? ... That sound really good.
[02.01.2014 21:01:57] IMG|Mat.Evanz: Then good day to you, we will be on our way...
[02.01.2014 21:01:58] VR-Persia.de.Shahrizai: Of course, we're not murderers.
[02.01.2014 21:02:12] VR-Persia.de.Shahrizai: Well ALG guy, this is your lucky day. Get lost quickly.
[02.01.2014 21:02:41] IMG|Piper.Maru[R]: Mac: You are really very polite figures... Thank you very much...
[02.01.2014 21:02:57] VR-Paddy.Hughs: Just don't forgot this act of kindness
[02.01.2014 21:03:05] VR-Persia.de.Shahrizai: *shrugs*
[02.01.2014 21:03:17] IMG|Piper.Maru[R]: The Guild dont forget its friends...
After that, the trip was without incidents all the way to Narita.
Then we took mining equipment from Narita to Falkland (it is always in need of those) and also supplied Fort Siloso, that now is stocked up of maintenance material.
That's it. Mac Taylor, out....

Hello friends, Mac here reporting the busy day we had yesterday.
After delivering some suplies to Siloso the day before, we started there. Filled up a few transports with the Niobium Ore that was not sold to other traders, and we departed for Neu Berlin via Kusari as usual.
My scanners detected a red contact after we entered Rheinland, but it was at the limit of my ship's sensors, far away from the lanes. I guess it didn't detect us, 'cause it never got closer. So we delivered our cargo at Neu Berlin and headed to the omegas.
We did a few supply runs from Freeport One to Falster, topping off its reserves of maintenance materials and crew supplies. We then loaded our transports with Silver Ore that the Omega crews had mined the previous day. Here we are gathering our convoy together in front of Falster.
Soon we departed for Narita. We jumped to Omega 7 and near Freistad we met that scum pirate again, Love.Joy. He said he was in a hurry and jumped to Stuttgart, only to ambush our T1 transport in the middle of the next lane. Big mistake. Again. He tried to extort money - again! - from 5 battle transports with an escort snub. Soon enough, a green rain of fire was flying in his direction...
And, again, he lost his ship... As expected.
Well, after that, we proceeded without any more incidents all the way to Narita.
We then took some supplies to Falkland, and then Siloso, bringing alloys and water, oxygen and food rations from Freeport Ten.
After that we had a break for one hour or more, and then we started a big mining operation on Tau 23 to fill up Siloso's stock of Ore again, to reopen it for selling. We filled up the station with more than 85 thousand standard units of ore.
After that, some pilots did anoter trip to the Omegas, but I had already reached my max flight time for the day, so I went to rest in my dorm at Java.
Greetings everyone.....is this working?......... *taps communications board*
Stupid thing, found it..press this..any clearer?....can you hear me?.....*bangs communications board*
Found this 'ere old walkie-talkie like thing aboard my father's rusty old transport, so I thought I would test it by making me very 1st report on what we did this 'ere day
Well....
Everyone else undocked from Falster full to the brim with some shiny ores, but I had to start my engines from that New Berlin planet, quite nice those Rhienies, made a girl all comfortable for the night, took me out they did, got me a bit sloshed with that Rheinbier stuff....now what was his name..What time did he leave this mor......AHEM
Anyway where was i
oh yes, I sped down to Falster to pick me up some shinies, and as a convoy, flew up to Narita without any problems, must of been sleepy time for those pesky pirates, after that we picked up some drill bits or was it mining machinery I can't remember, me heads still a shed
Anyone got any aspirin?
Right.... then off to t37 we flew to drop them off and pick up some reinforced alloy from free port 10
Now that is a fun station the stories I can tell you ...
Anyway we sped off to our lovely base called Siloso to help the crew there keep it all nice and pucker
We decided that as it was full of some Niobium, we grabbed as much as we could, and left for New Berlin, and off we went
we picked up another IMG trader as you will see in my ships external view camera...(which i did steal from me brothers ship...hes gonna kill me)
We flew down there without an issues, and dropped it all off making a nice tidy bit of cash
After that we decided to have a race back to Freidstadt
So we lined up at the lane and, off we went
Bit of a struggle for some guys, but this 'ere girl got there ahead of everyone even with my foggy head....eh!...take that lads!
I went to my cabin and tried to get some sleep for another run some time laters.
A huge transport convoy flew into Liberty today and it met the expected resistance and trashed it. The pictures speak for themselves. Two Junker Marauders blew up in a matter of seconds, one was a BWT and the other a Salvager.
Yesterday, the Wagner family attacked us in two Waran bombers. They stripped one Shishapangma badly, but it was able to limp to base. The attackers did not.
A few days ago, Mr. Love Joy, a small transport pirate in Omega 3 tried it and got a load of turretfire in return. More than the little one could dodge or take.
That's +3 Transport kills.
And +2 Snub kills.
The Normal Convoy Reports
The rest are normal convoy reports of more or less interesting flights.
On 13.01.821 the IMG initiated its first move into the Omega 9 system.
The snubcraft scout wing, lead by myself, consisting of three fighters, a bomber and a freighter equipped with long-range scan arrays as well as jump hole testing equipment departed from Aland Shipyard to the newly discovered Omega 9 JH in the Rugen Ice Cloud, Omega-3.
After a short search at the edge of the planetary accretion field, located closes around the sun, two bases were located: Cameron Solar Port and Freeport 101, the station we pushed to communicate with.
The necessary preperations were made to establish a temporary route from Falster to FP101, allowing IMG to launch an operation aimed at supporting the newly built base. The Logistics department's report on this will cover the details of that particular operation.
System Map:
Now follows our current map of Omega-9, based on the scout wings discoveries and knowledge of the base owners.
Zone 1 "Green Zone": Omega-3 Jumphole, Omega-7 Jumphole, Freeport 101 (B), asteroid field a2
Zone 2 "Yellow Zone": Omega-11 Jumphole, asteroid field a3
Zone 3 "Red Zone": Omega-5 Jumphole, Omega-55 Jumphole, Cameron Solar Port (A), asteroid fields a1 and a4, Sun
Zone 1 is currently the IMG's area of interest, as it contains both JHs connecting us to systems we have holdings in, and Freeport 101. Furthermore the asteroid field a2 (and any others for that matter) might contain minerals or other valuables IMG could take an advantage of. Further testing is required. Zone 2 is not interesting for the IMG at this moment, unless a1-4 show traces of mineables. The connection to Omega-11 is stable, but leads to a desolate part of the system. Zone 3 contains JHs to hostile Omega systems and is therefore advised off-limits to IMG vessels, with the exception of Cameron Solar Port, which is operated by an unaffiliated group of people. This base is viable as fallback point for convoys attacked on their way from the Omega-3 JH.
Jumphole Stability:
All jumpholes in the Green Zone are between 78-91% stable (Omega-3: 86-98%, Omega-7: 67-85%), the Red and Yellow Zone have not been analysed beyond mapping and the possibility of hostile attacks. This means we should be able to utilize these JHs without taking big risks to lose ships in the process.
Political Situation:
The Omega-9 system, as a whole, contains a considerable amount of pirate activity, Corsairs and Hessians, as well as signs of Kruger expiditions and a number of unknown contacts, presumably hostile.
As for now, the owners of FP101 have shown to be friendly and cooperative and it is advised to further invest into these relations in order to set foot to O9.
(Parts of) The information in this transmission/document is confidential and only meant for the respective recipients. Distributing information from this transmission without permission is illegal.
On the way, two OPG vessels, a Pretorian and a Gunboat were destroyed.
Contact and Cargo Delivery
We made contact with the base Administrator, Mr. Prescot, who was at the Freeport.
We got permission to unload the first load of cargo to it that the Freeport had asked us for. We delivered:
Food
Water
Oxygen
Reinforced Alloys
Insertion of Security Advisers and Combat Engineers
We moved in again, finishing the promised amounts of the items, and added 5 Security Advisers and Combat Engineers to the Freeport with the authorisation of the base administrator. The base administrator assumes they are just advisers.
Regaining Access to the Freeport
After the dropoff, we received orders to install an antenna at the Freeport 101 that would allow safe communcation between Aland and the Freeport. We proceeded to O9 with the materials and Red-3, but ran into a lockdown by Corsairs.
IMG Defense launched again and broke up the siege, liberating the Freeport. We lost a gunboat, and took out a bomber and a gunboat before the enemy retreated.
Installing the Antenna
After Defense cleared the perimeter, we managed to get to the Freeport unnoticed in a fourth approach. I was on board of Red-3, the ship that would lead the installation of the antenna. Three transports assisted with the building materials, and so we managed to get it done in about 15 minutes. It was pretty tense.
