Quote:Reasons: Leeds has fallen into Gallic control. The base is no longer viable as a fuel depot as Mox cannot be obtained at LD14 anymore. Now the station will serve as a last line of defense against the invading Gallic horde. The location was decided because of the close proximity Leeds jh is to Trafalgar located in NL. Junkers trying to defend the back door from its enemy.
Please... not another senseless blocking base.
If there is a base covering that hole, it should be BAF-IFFed.
Definitely there should not be a ragtag Junker base guarding a House system.
That makes zero sense irply (at least for me) and it is also harmful for gameplay, as every blocking base it.
//sorry, wrong account. It's Jack, obviously.
sorry but, gotta agree on that.
EDIT: Moreover since blocking a jump hole wasn't it's original intention. The whole purpose of the relocation is to allow PoBs to maintain their older usage. For example moving it back into a mining field that was changed, or moving it to a jump hole when that Jump hole was relocated and the base has been previously blocking it.
Not that I agree with JH blocking PoBs, but if that was its original intention I could at least understand why you want it to be relocated.

AGREED! Please...this is one of the major reasons the haters hate PoBs. Heck, I'm a big PoB proponent, and I HATE jumphole-blocking PoBs. Don't be part of the problem, please.

Come up with something a little less arsey than "we want to completely block the New London jumphole with zero chance for anyone to provide any sort of counterplay" - totally contrary to the normal process of setting a base up.

Just think of all the fun we could all have pewing each other in Leeds.
Yes, I can already imagine all the "fun" that having your core-4, platformed PoB on top of the New London hole would provide.
Truly, the idea of the LNS, BAF and god-knows-what-else cap fleets taking cover behind a Congress base bristling with weapons platforms barely 40k from Leeds fills me with a joyful anticipation.
Also, the suggestion that .:j:. would ever do any sort of "pewing" is laughable, given that I don't count silent 4am server time powertrading as falling under that particular term.
I was against Coin's little reign of terror over Dublin from the beginning, and I'm sure as hell not going to let a Junker version pop up to put a further stake through the heart of Bretonia's activity levels.
EDIT: Got ninja'd by Hawk. Good to hear, though. Pitchfork down for now, then.

Funny enough were working with BAF and they have full access.
Calm down there, you'll have a heart attack going on like that son,
coming in here shouting the odds about Admins giving help to struggling
Pobs & cheeky Junker one off requests, you'll give yourself a hernia!
I never really thought the base would be moved in the first place; never
mind within a jh, the base lies dead down there & has for a good while,
the BAF & BPA) were marked up there before Congress got it & still are
as it's a legal Bretonian base, the last hold in Leeds. It was to let it go
or bring her up & have a go at it for Bretonia's sake & Yarr it up a bit.
Pob's are boring as hell i know, we've a few! but we've got a little gem there
in our control named Rayburn Station with some potential action for more than
just us, we're not looking to do anyone over, just enjoy the base for a change
& feel more comfortable with it.
This base may give the Stiff Little Fingers up to the Gauls but good, we'll try
to enjoy it as long as it lasts. Up the Peacocks!

You built a now invincible base far from where anyone would ever look, free of the risks that come with building in a "high-profile" location. Now you want it moved somewhere it isn't absolutely useless, but without giving your enemies a chance to do anything about it.
Even if it doesn't become a jumphole blocker, I don't see why it would be moved.
Last time you tried to build closer to civilization, it wasn't so easy after all.
You haven't seen what were capable of when we build as a group.
Still I would like to just point out again...
This base has been here for years now far before any mention of the invasion.
We didn't change Leeds.
We adjusted the distance so it doesn't block the hole on our new move request.
The base was fine where it was before the DRASTIC change to Leeds.
Those voices in opposition just happen to be the same ones who would destroy the station if they could.
Anyway the request no longer puts the station on top of the hole but closer for us to maintain it.

You're in the wrong thread, you want the Admin feedback!
Funny how we didn't get this much feedback when someone tried
to set us up by building a Congress base to get folk to look for our
real one because they couldn't find it, not much sympathy for us
then or now & we're just moving a base like all the rest are.
Give me a minute till i go look at the rest of the feedback's everyone
got for requesting a move...
you want your junker base to be the last bastion of leeds? in roleplay?
why not make it a smuggling freeport? perfect spot for joining gallic and sirian black and grey markets, with the war raging Gallics might be too busy for you if you don't make too much trouble and you could even roleplay with some of the Gallic quasi-lawfuls that have influence on gallic affairs. There'd be a common interest of sorts, maybe.
A de-facto militarized junker base is a missed opportunity no matter what.
