Regarding sanctions on attacking POBs and the results

Simple question here.

We all know that in no cases the admins restore lost cargo or equipment if they are lost in the result of an attacker breaching the server rules. That is fact. The guy may be punished, but the damage remains.

Does this also apply to POBs? Because if the base has valuable cargo and enough credits on it, then what stops from people biting the bullet, so to speak and sacrificing one sanction in order to cause massive losses for the parties involved in the base construction?

Does the same mentality of not reimbursing losses also work on POBs? Should it/not?

EDIT: Should be noted that I am referring only to situations that are happening now, after the rule update on mandatory roleplay before the destruction of a base.

The whole situation with "mandatory RP" and registration (sic) for base siege looks stupid for me. Same goes for the rules and sanctions in it's regard. What for straight forward answer - if admins are not restoring the transport full of codes and cau8s that got blown why should they bother to restore your base that was under siege for quiet a time with no one defending it or being able to defend?

In that case another question arise: If you can't defend the base and even build it at location you can't effectively defend it at why you're unhappy with it being destroyed? It's absolutely logical result of bases being placed at random locations.

Yeah, report them, and send them screens of where they said "we are a gankfleet". Are they attacking your bases for lolz or for RP reasons?

I attacked a base myself, but there was a load of incidents in-game along with a bit of forum RP that led up to the attack, I knew I wasn't gonna kill the base anyway, just disrupt them supplying it and waste their MOX and repair commodities.

Simply attacking a base with poor RP reasons for the sole purpose of spoiling someone's hard work for the lolz shouldn't be allowed. Unless the person is making a troll base or a JH blocker, in which case I support a full on gank.

Regarding the OPs question, I think there should be some re-reimbursement, depending on what's lost, including a transport in conn that's selling codes and CAUs, cloaks on bases etc. They should roleback the base and pretend the incident never occurred.

If someone pops a ship in conn to steal codes, they should have all of their ships deleted IMO, it's a dirty move. I store all my codes on a Cruiser and park it by the quick-dock, coz I know there are pieces of crap that do this sort of thing. E.G "ooops I accidentally pointed my mouse at your ship and chainfired my mortars, then knocked the B button by mistake, then "oh I have to go now IRL stuff".

That particular thread you are referring to is an oorp thread, I do not understand how you can be in doubt. It is one admins use so they can keep tabs on who attacks what and why in case trouble should arise in the future, I reckon.

I also have to say you need to relax a bit about that base, so far the other side's roleplay have been at least equal to yours if you ask me, and the more you panic like this the more people want to siege it.

And my opinion that's yes - it should be (unless that silly rule is finally removed). Just as I think it should be regarding attacks in Conn that makes people lose stuff.

oki i see that thread is considered oorp place by wide community, so it means it IS allowed to use term gankfleet then, but we can concur that that means we are here to destroy all and obstruct gameplay regarldess of RP and we have right to post it here cause this thread is OORP.

You have legality, but you legitimized yourself for good or bad to community , as this is your letter of intentions. So would be better to avoid such terms which imply lowluting.

My mistake was to technically exploit that moment in one RP thread.
