The combination of force overkill and on the other side permanent invisibility is a successful recipe to keep any interaction from happening and to create a maximum of disappointed players at the same time.

This is dangerously serious for flood, but the biggest reason there was no real interaction was the presence of a repair ship. There was no possible way we could win or even destroy a single hostile ship with that around.
