Why do your call yourself an overthrower of Facists when you support those who act like them? And if stating facts is a attack on anyone.... well you should know what it makes you.....
If making the game more compatible with lore is fascism then my goal is to exterminate all democratic government.
Seriously, come on. The Zoners have a population of, what, maybe thirty thousand peoples spread across over a dozen stations and hundreds of small craft and transports around Sirius. That is not a military force. That is not a group that can support heavy warships.
The only groups that can logically support one or maybe two battleships at the most are the ones who currently have Persephones: TAZ and Phoenix.
I'm not against the change to the Neph lore, I think there are way to many Nephs around. But this whole Idea is poorly thought out, no real consultation to official or indy zoners who actually own the ships, and a un-needed model change. That's my problem with all this.... but maybe if somebody had actually asked.....
If being seriosly why everyone from devs/admins ignored a real solution to fix this problem, and limit caps to SRP and/or official factions(use same mechanics as with Khara)? Did you ever seen neph/aquilon of official faction lolwut around? At last, if he would, there will be consequences inside of faction for that player. Kind of self control.
But Jinx solution - it's just about to punish all Zoner players, even who's used to RP with Zoner caps, not abuse them. Which are absolutely unfair for Zoner players.
ADD:
As for "Persephones"(actually it's a Leviathan class), it's going to be replaced by Nephilim model, because Jinx cant get over this, someone using his fancy toy.
Pointless things are not going to lead us anywhere.
The problem now at hand is,the remodelling of these ships,is going to affect indys as well as official factions. You have heard that from TAZ as well as Phoenix. The indys too express their concern over this.As it is clearly visible, the majority of the community doesnt want this to happen, but still the devs seem to be reluctant in implementing it against the will of majority in support of the few that actually want the Zoners(I mean the Zoner activity in the forums) to fade off.
Thats not the right way to get to the community. And I am quite sure that my concern over this is going to be heard def, anyway, worth a try.

It is a way better solution to buff the NPC buy price for the Zoner ships and allow players to trade them alone for cash.

(yes, i've seen enough of those lolduels, where house military with overwhelming force on the field willingly loses a pilot in a duel. ffs.)
We're probably going to just have to go with manual admin-based liquidation of ships -- buy prices are weird and in order to buff the buy-back price of the ships we'd have to equally buff the price required to purchase them in the first place, which won't suit their new roles at all.
Plus this way if the admins wish they can also credit people full amount for equipment etc.
No guarantees from me on what's going to happen regarding that -- I just write plugins.
I don't care about cash at all, why I need it, if I cannot use for what I'd like? Limit them to SRPs, use same mechanics as with other limited factions. If people are scared to have another new faction ORI alike, listen to me. If you want Zoners to be a dead faction, listen to Jinx idea.
Also it's weird, how people are switched from POBs to Zoner Caps, I guess someone just used this as chance, because of fresh drama. When we been in conflict with ZA, it was a headache to camp at POB, trying to cut supply runs, boring as hell. But shooting their caps was fun.
