You should consider that anonymous polls usually get more honest and realistic results. An open poll can chance the results substantially compared to an anonymous one.

why is concealing one's name more honest? open polls allow for a precise breakdown of who stands where on an issue. there are two camps here: the transport camp and the capital camp. the capital camp is subdivided into no change, or a nerf in some form, and there can be open and honest debate amongst them to determine which policy the collective favours. this is not a discussion thread, but a synopsis thread - we can see easily from the other threads about this issue about who stands where; and now we have an easy-reference without having to trawl through several pages and hundreds of posts to individually come up with our own synopsis of how many people prefer which option.

tl;dr open + honest, just like when someone posts.
