Ok I arrived at page 10 and got tired; I'll just throw in a fairly generic answer to the issue, because I don't know everything that has been said.
Why are Zoners trying to say that a game mechanic change will influence their RP? RP has nothing to do with game mechanics. A ship inRP is what you RP it to be. For example, in the Vagrant Raiders our ID doesn't allow for capital ships (our single flagship is a SRP and has more story than half of Disco together); on the other hand, we want to RP ourselves as paramilitaries, so we must have military toys. The solution? RP a ship as something more than it is in game mechanics. We RP our liners as carriers, and call them warships (they even get a capital ship designation). We RP battletransports as makeshift cruisers. We RP our generic civilian and borderworld snubs as custom-built variations made by our industries. So you see, you don't need a battleship to RP a battleship. So a group of bombers kill your colony ship? Ok, inRP it's not destroyed, it suffered heavy damage and retreated, maybe with an emergency jump. Everyone does that with their unique RP ships, it's perfectly acceptable.
The sad truth is that you just don't want to lose your firepower for the PvP.
What kind of a ship can withstand 2 nukes and a full load of antimatter, but can't withstand a single atmospheric landing??? That is just retarded imo

not just that, but the new battletrans are- not exactly ugly - just don't have the colony ship/mobile freeport look.
No atmosphere? GTFO.
The propeller is the greatest invention of all time.

To be a mobile freeport, you just need hangars, not a particular hull look. And the biodomes were retarded to begin with, hydroponic bays well protected inside the ship's hull make much more sense.
What's the point of this thread? To yell at the good people that make this mod? The mod that you play for free and no one makes you stay here? Really now....tell me how this makes sense, cuz I'm confused here.
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT I SAID, IT MATTERS WHAT I MEANT!!!!
