It's Sterlin's thread, so he's got the final say on it, but I'd say yeah, it's legal.
When someone gets stumped for a follow up, two ways to get around it is to post another song from the same band or post a cover tune of the song that's doing the stumping (I personally think it's better than the new thing that's been happening this time around of picking single words from the band names & choosing songs from those...doing that makes it far toooo easy)
New addition for y'all to mull over: Just to add more difficulty, what about stacking the tunes? For the past handful of posts, a few of us have been splitting titles for the hell of it & I started thinking...
A single song is posted
The next person takes only the words in the title & splits it into two
The next person takes those two tunes & posts three different tunes out of 'em
The next posts four & so on as the tunes stack.
If a person has to use the band name or a cover tune to follow up, it resets the stack back to one & that person has to post a single song for the new stack from the band or cover tune title that broke the previous one
Get what I mean?
Even though I can pick any word/s from "Ring Of Fire" & "Nothing Else Matters" to add another tune, for example
My problem is, I can't think of any other tune with the specific word "Highwayman" in it, so, I'm stuck with crashing the stack & posting a different tune from Iced Earth.
I know the next person can think of two songs with the words "Dark" & "City" in 'em
Y'all wanna try it like this for a bit to see how it works out?
(PS: I think the goal should be to stack the tunes as high as possible as the posts go on, so people should fight the urge to intentionally crash the stack by trapping the next guy in a corner with tune titles they specifically know are overly difficult to follow)
Was thinking on the Highwayman myself & was going to post Adam & The Ants - Stand And Deliver
to keep in with that vibe but thought I best not & changed my mind.
