Any true pirates out there?

So. I have been trading for the last week like mad. Only so few pirates were met.

I encountered only few worthwhile RP encounters, and all came from factions, so small kudos to the following fellows: XA-Pygmy, Benitez Family and even my own LH~ folks. It was a pleasure to interact with you all.

Maybe it is my nostalgia from iKytec) days when pirates where plentiful and they were much more capable than current pirates and made my heart pump over the top to survive untill next station.

So my question now, are there still people who plays the roles of pirates as it is meant to? Share your experience!

Yesterday I ambushed a DHC raw hydrocarbon convoy in Frankfurt on my Hessian. I talked to them a little more than usual instead of making my dmenad and quickly shooting if they didnt comply, cos I had seen a particular kudos about fun piracy rp. 3 kruger GBs and fighters arrived as backup, and together they were able to make the station after an intense fight. The Kruger then chased me to a base where I was able to dock.

So not sure how competant thatd be, hehe, but earlier I had blown up a Kruger ore trans and sold his ore for 21 mill so you cant blame kruger for being angry!

Do you mean true pirates in terms of combat ability, or their ability to say something beyond, "Now then, two million and you can pass". Because I'm such a sucker that I'll talk your ear off until you call for backup from the lawfuls. Other than that, my only claim to fame is soloing two transports that didn't want to fork over 500k (collectively) to save their two cargos of gold ore.

So... Am I a real pirate? And in which sense - combat or quality of verbosity?

Well, combat prowess is another subject. It's more about sticking true to your role while delivering decent quality of RP.

Oh! Well then I think interdicting and attempting taxation for gold extraction as a Molly is pretty spot on. And my impeccable, patient attempts to RP were pretty decent, if I do say so myself. Complete sentences, relative patience, affect of accent.

So I guess so?
