We are preparing to apply for Official Faction status. This is an invitation to point out anything we have missed that we still require. Feedback is welcomed.
So, we thought you wanted activity in the Omicrons?
Now we see no less than 4 factions taking an intense interest in us, even though we are on the very edge of the sector. It is apparent by recent forum posts that 2 of those factions are even now collaborating to remove us. As if you actually need 2 Official factions to do that.
It looks like we will either be destroyed or forced into a sale of our hundreds of cooperative hours of gameplay. Not just my own, but an entire faction's worth of gaming time.
And why may I ask is that? Apparently this abandoned depot has some value to them, even though a forum search reveals that there has been no RP around it in over 18 months (the most recent reference I could find was here - http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread...pid1292960 ). But suddenly it is important enough to focus their energies on removing us.
Even though the faction is actually not requiring the area at all, and has terraforming operations in other systems. Even though the factions in question are stretched thin with their own problems. Even though their own reporting channel makes no mention of any operations of anything outside of the Taus and Borderworld systems in over 12 months, let alone Omicron Lost.
You want activity in the Omicrons, but when people come to generate that activity, you evict them. Not because they actually hold a presence there, but because they are Official factions and because they can. But hey, sorry for picking up that toy you haven't played with in forever.
The problem of low Omicron activity doesn't lie in the isolation of said systems or their size.
Official faction plans are on hold, for obvious reasons.
From what I read, the reactions to completely unknown contacts who do not even bother "announcing" themselves are quite reasonable, since such seems quite suspicious.
In my opinion, it is perfectly fine if their characters interpret the situation in this way and take action according to their interpretation. Just opting out of this because you don't like how it played out doesn't seem very appropriate. Make something worthwhile out of it instead of running away.
We have given our explanations to the factions that have asked for them. But conveniently they don't believe our story, probably because they have all read this write up.
If you can show me something worthwhile to come out of the destruction or forced sale of many hours of joined gameplay, please, enlighten me.
What if they don't believe your story because their characters do not trust the word of strange foreigners, or in any other way have a certain degree of distrust towards unknown people? You don't have to make the players behind the characters the scapegoat for all of your problems.
Maybe you could try to make the best out of it? You don't expect it to be very promising at this point, but awkward situations are in my opinion the most entertaining situations, especially in the regard to how to get out of it.
A different approach could be not to convince them by words (because their characters don't react positively to that, apparently), but through actions. Offer trade, technology, assistance, etc. Show them that you are worth not to get eradicated. Life in the Omicrons is dangerous, and everyone has to fight for survival and prove themselves useful.
Just don't give it up because it didn't turn out the way you wanted.

Not only this but I've seen several people skeptical of a base inside Omicron Lost who mine a planet which is completely oreless to begin with (checked lore, Planet Moros is completely oreless as other people have already deep core mined the hell out of it)
But not to mention when something does happen, you react by logging several bombers and surrounding us at once. Looking back when the order attacked your base, you didn't even attempt to RP with the captain as it was attacking, rather you just shot the person down.
More over when I saw a pirate shooting your base, you though it necessary to shoot one my own char's who didn't do a thing at all. And I have to throw in my own two cents here. One of your boys said they mindcontrolled an order agent into working for you. I find that funny as hell, because I personally have an Order char prim that had to go through three months of RP to even get remotely close to the nomads. Yet in one day you somehow took control of an agent who lives on a warehouse/outpost? Please do explain this
Mind you this is not flaming, I'm mearly stating the truth of what I've seen happen thus far of what I've encountered inRP and seen

The fact you know of the details of this incident leads us to believe you are the one who silently sieged our core 2 base. And if by several bombers you mean 2. And in fact we did type defending base notices and the like, I still have the screenshots as I was one of those 2 bombers. So if you want to go ahead with this "we were silent" line I'll gladly disprove that.
If your base was being attacked, wouldn't you defend it?
I have no idea about this mind controlled Order agent spinoff you are talking about, or that Moros has been core-mined, got any links for that?
But it doesn't really matter. We are in the process of relocating so you can have your precious empty system back.
Just to make a statement here, The Core are trying to avoid scenarios that would result in utterly curbstomping this faction. Personally I quite like the idea, and the RP I have seen so far is good. Hence why I'd hate to destroy their RP via their PoB or otherwise.

No I'm just going off other stuff, I agree to shooting the Osiris down (not me) and I do understand)
The last part states he took control of an Order agent with ease, all agents in the Order (indy or not) are trained to detect even the slightest trace of alien biological signs in any ship. I mean I find this part very odd.
It actually doesn't state anything of the sort! If you had actually read this, you would see that it is a request from a member for further pursuing this Order pilot as a possibility of capture (and one I have since talked him out of via other channels).
So no, we don't mind control Order pilots, thank you very much!
