The Crane, the poor man's stork, Sirius' Vache. And seriously under used.
I rarely every see these things flown. their Odd cargo hold of 4.5k puts it either in the place of Sub Par in the world of 5k's Galore. Or "Too much cargo" for Unlawfuls who almost all ( Save for Sairs/OC/Council) are restricted to 4.3k. So, a suggestion. To add more variety to the sector why not drop the cargo on this ship to Match the Ptrain at 4.3k? Which would open its use to the Unlawful Sector. Another option by dropping it would be opening it up to the Freelancer ID.( possible though I can see why people may be against this)
So lets Discuss; Should we drop its cargo hold lower? Should it stay the same but allow more unlawfuls to have a larger cargo space option?
You could always give it slightly better defensive attributes to trade off the cargo space, or just give it the ability for more widespread use, such as opening it up to the Freelancer ID or unlawfuls like Vulkhard said.

That's not a half-bad idea...and I wouldn't mind seeing something with a more distinct look than the "high, I'm just a bigger version of the Heron" look it has now.

Lets be honest its info card says it all
Quote:As the success of the overpowered Heron ensured that thousands of the craft would be transporting the services of the sector between farflung and domestic bases alike company thinktanks and engineers pondered over how they could economically one up themselves to usher in the next generation of heavy hauler. Nervous marketing specialists suggested simply adding another link to the existing Heron, adding leather seats and then charging five times more for the same ship. Congratulations on your purchase. Enjoy the seats.
But Yeah it would be nice, let me see if I can dig up the civilian battle transport model I saw.
I agree with the OP. This falls into one of those "Why bother" niches where it is a 3rd or 4th choice at best on those big corporate ID's. Either trim the cargo down, or alternatively alter unlawful ID's to accomodate 4500 cargo. It's not going to give them many extra ship choices is it?
On a side note, a rusty (dare I say it) Junker-like skin would also be very cool.
