Im sure that the Developer team here & the admins are working their best efforts and time to provide a pleasant, decent, interesting & exciting gaming atmosphere which aim to attract players to the community but not repelling them from it.
So i just want to say that this post is a "Protesting" post about reducing the premium scrap metal prices again and again until it reached 5,400 now.
There is many topics opened for discussing the issue positively and negatively *views wise* , so this post is only a place for those who want to complain and protest about the reduction of the prices
The Aim of this post is to reach our voices to the Dev team and admins, because we trust them and understand that if they found a major number of players not pleased by this change of prices then they will adjust it in another way so it can fit their main aim which i described above in green color
If you agree on reducing the prices then please don't post here because this isn't a discussion for you, and it's just a protest post aiming to show the dev and admin team that there is a big amount of players are not pleased with this change.
As a Junker myself, and a congressman, i am so damaged by this change! - the economy is going low and the distance now don't worth the amount of money gained ..... Mining fields in texas and selling points for junkers is the Omicron Alpha so the distance is so far for such a reduced amount of money in return...
Thanks for all who will respect this post and again, if you agree on the reduction then this is not the place for you to post... , there is other discussion posts for it.
Protesters feel free to express how u feel about the reduction here, because this is the place where we want to reach our voices to the dev and admin team and we want to show them that we represent a major segment of the Discovery GC and now our economy is dying.
Well it's a shame and as you said it's not even worth it to mine the scrap and sell it in alpha because of the high distance and the low sell prices. I agreed with $9.899 but $5.400 is way to less for all the work. The premium scrap is pretty much all the junkers got to make cash with and reducing the price more and more is damaging the whole junker faction. I don't think it's the developer teams and the admins intention to take the junkers out of the game but if the price stays on $5.400 the junkers will simply disappear from the game or the faction will just end in pirating everyone to make some credits..

In short, a commodity buff event. Gold Ore prices should have now been buffed in certain locations.
Premscrap prices will probably not be buffed until the the ore mining overhaul is complete.
There are already threads on this topic.
The price for Premium Scrap in Omicron Alpha should be somewhere around 8000 to 9000 credits per unit currently. If it's significantly lower than that, then it's probably a mistake.
I agree with Xenon 100% as a Junker myself but not part of the Congress yet i have to say risking my own ship's integrity and neck in those radiation filled fields for 5.400 Credits just doesnt seem like a trip worth taking anymore the Last Premium Scrap Run i did which was Today about 3 or 4 hours ago was priced at 9.000 and something credits , so basically changing prices by the hour i dont think its nice that and as Xenon said the distance is too long for this little ammount of credits
I have no Other means to earn credits on my own on this server other than this method , sure i can go and mine Helium in Penn and waste 3 or 4 months to barely get enough for a 3.600 cargo transport and then waste another 3 or 4 months for a decent ammount for some decent ships

That's just a false statement. You're just too lazy to trade or smuggle, which you can do on your own. Mining is a bigger money maker because it normally requires multiple people, but that doesn't mean you can't do anything else.

smuggling? LOL
smuggling doesn't make money, silly....
well not a significant amount atm. I dont know why. Needs buff. Especially cuz its harder to do.
5,400? Are you serious? I know Premium Scrap prices were a little too high for a mined ore, but 5,400?
I hope this is a mistake as this is one of the major components of the Junker economy. If it's not, then I guess a lot of Junkers that had devotion in the faction will just leave.
