So, how about organizing events and fighting your enemies till the new patches will fix some of the issues (devs already announced plans to get rid of buffer systems) rather than whine on the forums about it?
There're events being organized (this one is today) but no one shows interest. Instead, you prefer coming here and complaining like a girl (and I'm not only talking about the OP).
What you could try to achieve on the forum is to convince the devs and lore writers to take into consideration a series of WELL organized events. Your random clash between lolwut fleets can't produce a veritable material for lore development. So, stop whining, and go out there, contact faction leaders, get involved and organize events. If anyone agrees to contribute this way, devs can't ignore.
And in the meantime try fighting the enemies and respect the RP invested and the lore (even if you don't agree with it). We can't reverse time but we can work to achieve a better future for the mod.
I would like to throw in a few suggestions. How about we have a death match type of scenarios in a few systems.
Like the ones which Discovery of Discovery has
Systems like New Hampshire, Leeds, Omnicron Eta and maybe Omnicron Delta(for order and the core)
A base that can be conquered. Which when the server restart happens will change hands if it has been successfully besieged.
To give more incentive to conquer, that base would sell a commodity real cheap so that friendly corporations/traders can haul back.
In my opinion this would be a nice balance of not disrupting the overall lore of the game but yet have enough change to lore which would be determined by players actions.
Edit: Perhaps even allowing players to build a core1 PoB to enhance defense to give a lil something extra to do
but howcome liberty is so stronk? no navy can fight liberty on their home turf for some reason, although pirates and all sorts of scum mop the floor with the liberty navy every single day.
events also kinda sucks, tbh. impromptu action is where the fun lies. i do understand why people don't sign up for choreographed events - the only fun ones are the ones that are super lulzy, like tau madness and so on.

- In order to fight enemies, you first need enemies that are willing and capable. Not a bunch of factions that rarely even enter your space. Also, stop saying "You", I'm not even a rheinlander.

- If bringing up important issues is "complaining like a girl", I guess we should go back to the good ol' days of enslavement. People who talk about changing things are bad!

And if Kusari was the starting point instead of Pennsylvania, we would also cry about Kusari being untouchable and stronk despite pirates and hostile militaries mopping the floor with the KNF indie capspam every single day.

A long time ago I proposed balancing houses so that players could automatically be started randomly in different houses, thus spreading the noobdom so it isn't all concentrated in the same place, and was happy to hear from an administrator that they'd been working on exactly that for a while before I'd even mentioned it. Hopefully they'll implement this one day, I think it could solve some problems.
OK, I'll be answering in color as well on the points where I disagree with you.

"You" as in the community. Like I said, organize events. There were those weekly events that were quite fun. Bring them back. Hell, I'll even try to do it myself at least for a small part of Sirius.

- Do you think nobody speaks to the developers of the issues they're encountering? Everyone tries. They only hear liberty. I was thinking the same way a while back. I didn't like Liberty and the fact that deals were done over skype and there was no transparency (It's still happeneing - see how D9 got official) but devs do answer to official player factions requests but both sides have to agree on proposed changes. So, maybe Rheinland did kick LNS ass everytime but if there was no regulation about lore movement and there was no consent between the 2 official factions, the devs wrote the lore how they saw fit.
And in the meantime try fighting the enemies and respect the RP invested and the lore (even if you don't agree with it). We can't reverse time but we can work to achieve a better future for the mod.

but why only events? it's so stale. all the pro's can show up to play one side for one hour, and we'll be back to the same situation of daily stuff going one way, but lore and events dictating something else.
i'm not asking for total justice or a structured and codified set of rules for taking over stuff - i mean we have a lot of rules for a lot of things here, that are sometimes overlooked when that's convenient. it's better to just say "hey it's not going to be totally fair, but there's gonna be some form of dynamic development" imo.
I agree with the initial post.
I think a lot of players post topics here that have about the same goal.
Like the Rheinland-Liberty stuff.
And the Hispanic Omicrons having passed away.
We need some action back in the game.
And we are not finished talking about this, let that be clear.
